Klangkuenstler first made his debut on our SUM 5 VA with his massive track ‘Continuum’ and now returns for his first solo outing on Second State with two absolute bombs primed for decimating any dance floor they encounter.

‘Razor’ kicks off the EP in a concept where fierce, rapid drums and 90’s inspired leads result in a nostalgic yet modern twist to a timeless idea. The title track ‘Dunkle Illusion’ initiates the B-side by utilizing an ominous acid line with sinister intent slithers between racing percussion creating an undeniably wicked atmosphere. Wrapping up the short player is Alignment’s remix of ‘Dunkle Illusion’ which sees the original reworked into a powerful display of devilish melodics while never losing the intensity and force of the original’s character. This EP perfectly blends Techno with Rave sounds, and there is no better way to welcome Klangkuenstler to the Second State family.

Welcome to MindTrip Podcast episode 46. This month Pfirter welcomes a veritable powerhouse of the Croatian techno scene, Insolate. Her real name Suncica means sunshine in English, although her music consists of dark elements and sounds. She has been an active DJ & producer for the past 20 years, running her own label Out Of Place and being a creative force behind the electrifying TRAUM events in Eastern Europe. At the end of 2019 she released her debut album 'Order is Chaos' (featuring collaborations with MATRIXXMAN and singer SARA RENAR) while she has prepared a huge remix pack coming out after the summer, featuring remixes by Ben Sims, Sev Dah, Amotik and Pfirter. Xenex is a Croatian based Techno DJ and producer from Vukovar. He has been involved in the underground techno scene since 2006 and counts numerous appearances in some of the well known clubs in Croatia. Some of them were also abroad in countries such as China, Austria, Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia. He shared decks with various international artists and most of the local underground artists in his region.

In 2013 he got into music production and till now his tracks could be found on labels such as Morc, DSR Digital, Eclipse Recordings, Naked Lunch, Dolma Red, Reload Black etc. Also his music could be heard being played or charted by artists like Amelie Lens, I Hate Models, Viper Diva (Shlømo & Hadone), A.Paul, DJ Jock, The YellowHeads, David Temessi, Du’Art, Boriqua Tribez etc. Style he plays is based on a darker and more straight forward techno, but he also likes to add a certain variety and dynamic elements in his sets depending on the crowd and atmosphere. His point of view is that techno is a music style that continuously evolves and so should we as artists. 

Xenex is also a founder of Croatian electronic music association RE:CODE. It managed in a short period of time to become a well established organization for promotion of electronic music culture and underground techno scene by showcasing international artists that never before played in its region.
