Heartbreak

“I started making music in the summer of 2020, right in the middle of COVID,” says hip-hop artist Xenix, born Joshua Posey in Fairfax, Virginia. “Life got heavy around 2018. I was dealing with depression, heartbreak, and trying to find myself. Music became the only place I could tell the truth.”

Inspired deeply by Juice WRLD, Xenix built his sound around melody, emotion, and honesty. “Juice showed me you can talk about pain, love, and everything in between — and people will feel it because it’s real.”

What began as an escape soon became a purpose. His songs often explore mental battles, falling in love, losing it, and learning from it. “I make music for the people who feel too much,” he explains. “The ones who fight through the dark but still believe in something better.”

With every track, Xenix continues shaping a sound that’s raw, vulnerable, and relatable — a diary turned into hip-hop.
