A single from my futuristic video game project set 40 billion years in the future. Our planet has been wiped clean long ago, and humanity is a shell of itself, being puppeteered by a rampant AI that puts our consciousness to the test in cyborg frames, fighting to the death in massive combat arenas. A single human retains their soul inexplicably, as some machines had prophecized. This individual emerges outside the AI mainframe, fully autonomous and extremely deadly in their cyborg body. Armed with incredible weapons and skill, a journey is set upon to discover what went wrong so many years ago, and what the future of humanity will be like.
