i've been a long time fan of both masakatsu takagi's and hiroyuki sawano's works. there's just something about their songs, specifically takagi's "girls" and sawano's "pfad-10 taizai," that remind me of the childlike wonder i used to have as well as the things in life i used to treasure. one day in may, 2022, i decided that i wanted to create a song that gives off that feeling.

"evergreen memories." is about finding yourself again by reminiscing the moments you cherish. this song is for those that, like me, have felt as if they've lost their way over the years and are desperately trying to find their way back. i hope that this song can serve as a guiding voice to bring those people back to the path they once set out for themselves and regain their footing.

"evergreen memories." is not an electronic song. it's a ballad. it's not energetic, it's not meant to be danced to, and it doesn't even have a single instance of a synth. i don't expect everyone to like it. for all i know, this may even be the most underperfoming song i'll ever put out...

...but as long as one person can feel the same way that i feel when listening to masakatsu takagi and hiroyuki sawano, then i'm already satisfied.
