This was my contribution for Disquiet Junto Project 0697: First Third. The Assignment: Record the first third of a trio.

Decided to go with rhythmic/percussive samples for the first stage of the project. The three samples, variations of the same patch, were created using Lorre-Mill Double Knot V3 processed through a Comb Room delay. The audio was recorded into Ableton Live and exported without any effects. Have fun!

The Assignment: Record the first third of a trio.

Please note: While this project is the start of a three-part sequence that will unfold over the course of three consecutive weeks, you can participate in any or all three of those parts.

Step 1: This week’s Junto project is the first in a sequence intended to encourage and reward collaboration. You will be recording something with the understanding that it will remain unfinished for the time being. Your part will be done, but more will happen. Read on.

Step 2: The plan is for you to record a short and original piece of music using any instrumentation of your choice. Conceive the piece as something that leaves room for something else — other instruments, other people — to join in. (Keep in mind that your piece resulting from this week’s project will be panned to the left in the second and third weeks of this sequence.)

Step 3: Record a short piece of music, roughly two to three minutes in length, as described in Step 2.

Step 4: This is important: be sure to make your track downloadable because it may be used by someone else in the next Disquiet Junto project, and the one after that.

Progetto per un call for works per flauto e fixed media, abbandonato per difficoltà e dubbi riguardo la partitura del flauto. 
2 contrabassi, tape delay, e flauto (canale destro, tongue ram).


Project for a call for works for flute and fixed media, abandoned due to difficulties and doubts about the flute score. 
2 double basses, tape delay, and flute (right channel, tongue ram).

All those except XIII Sisters and RAW which, as many of you may have done, I literally gave away in return for their placement in a library. Something I won't be doing again any time soon. There are links to XiiixxiQ below. Your mileage may vary as to whether it decides to work on your system or not. It only runs on a Mac because I really don't have time to do all the necessary work to make it compatible with anything other than my 2015 MacBook Pro :-(. It is still being developed (for my own use) and improved, and I may yet get round to doing another release if I can find the time to tidy it all up.
