XiiixxiQ - Track History [ 2022 -      ]

XiiixxiQ is the latest version of the experiment that was the Euclidean Chromaticon/Rhythmicon. It can be downloaded from KVR for free [ https://www.kvraudio.com/product/xiiixxiq-by-xiiixxiq ]

An intermediate version, released in July 2023 named Roundels won the Wildcard entry in the 2023 Developer Challenge.

There is a video available on YouTube [ https://youtu.be/qPUX9q8iqXQ ] which runs through some of the basic concepts behind the sequencer

6 Part Round over a Passacaglia bass - or in this case, piano phrase

The Fine Art Of Repetition - [ Passacaglia in 7 voices ]

All sounds come from the initial spoken phrase 'Why don't you stop' .. and roughly follow the shape of it's waveform for overall structure. The sounds at any particular point in the piece are generated by the associated lexeme in the vocal phrase using an Akai s950 hardware sampler and its built in editing routines.

Performed 'live' straight into the mixing desk via the separate outputs. Sequenced by Logic. Mastered onto cassette.

There are links to XiiixxiQ below. Your mileage may vary as to whether it decides to work on your system or not. It only runs on a Mac because I really don't have time to do all the necessary work to make it compatible with anything other than my 2015 MacBook Pro :-(. It is still being developed (for my own use) and improved, and I may yet get round to doing another release if I can find the time to tidy it all up.
