He quickly started building up a consequent collection of vinyls from distinct genres, with highlights from labels such as Giegling, Northern Electronics, Kann and Delsin. His exploration of grooves leads to unexpected destinations, ranging from deep house to driving techno, from dub pads to broken beats, from Waking Life to De School.  The Silentist recently self-released his first EP, Fall Dub EP, showcasing the dub techno he particularly enjoys. Dub techno is sometimes produced with vocals resulting in surprinsingly good results more than often. I ve selected 25 tracks which features vocalists (and some vocal samples) like Paul St-Hilaire and Benji. This is slowly meandering spacedub with deep, peaceful and dreamy lush ambient pads and dubby basslines. Though the old Rhythm & Sound influence is still clear—especially on the track Child was I—but what these producers are making truly feels fresh.

Recorded at Giegling Melbourne - @alexalbrechtmusic treats us to a live set featuring his warm, immersive sound. Moving fluidly between ambient textures, deep house, and groove-heavy downtempo, his work has found a home on labels like Mule Musiq, Scissor & Thread and Analogue Attic, with releases that capture everything from late-night introspection to sunlit, outdoor euphoria.

Currently in the middle of a busy European tour, Alex is playing Strand 22 in Jena 27.06, where he’ll join Margaux Gazur and Module One for the Ambient Open Air.
