Massimiliano Pagliara debuts on Ostgut Ton with his new EP, Time And Again.
Born and raised in the deep south of Italy Massimiliano Pagliara made his way to Berlin in 2001, quickly diving headfirst into the German capital’s club scene (particularly Berghain’s predecessor club, OstGut) until he started DJing in 2003. By the time of his joining with Ostgut Booking agency in October 2015 Massi had already constantly delivered – the DJ and producer has left a strong mark on House music throughout the years with energetic, playful and deep sets behind the decks, two acclaimed solo albums on Live At Robert Johnson and various collaboration projects. His residency at Panorama Bar therefore was a no-brainer – but the musical link by one of House music’s finest with the club’s label was still missing. Now Massi steps up with four new tracks and his first release on Ostgut Ton.
Heavily influenced by classic Chicago House, Electro and early Disco music Massi’s new EP serves as a cross-section of his musical interest as a producer and sonic palette as a selector. Working with vintage studio gear, analogue synthesizers and classic drum machines, his Time And Again EP is as warm and soulful as it’s lush and bursting with strength.

A club night series operating out of Florence, Italy, Tropical Animals have brought the elite of the dance music world to Tuscany since 2010. The likes of Bradley Zero, Avalon Emerson, Bambounou, Chez Damier, Luca Lozano, Interstellar Funk, Ross From Friends or Vladimir Ivkovic have all played the party before.

In 2018, it is time for the team behind the party to scratch a longstanding itch and start the Tropical Animals label, with a three tracker from long time friend and fellow Italian artist Whitesquare.

With previous appearances on labels like 20:20 Vision and Freerange, Whitesquare has established a reputation for hypnotizing, melodic deep-house. “In Light”, his Tropical Animals debut follows suit with three tracks that roam free in the deeper ends of the spectrum, where spirals of sounds intersect with pure electronic atmospheres, deep down and far in.

“In Light” is released on vinyl (300 copies) and digital on June 15th.

Futureboogie’s 60th release comes from Elliott Lion, the uber talented musician and producer and the keyboardist and chief electronics whizz for the hugely successful band Editors. 

Lion has recently embarked on a solo venture, embracing his love of classic house, techno and spaced out cosmic disco.

In its original form, ‘Ectsasy’ combines pacey disco looped beats, seductive vocals, dramatic sweeping pads and arpeggiated synths for a perfect cosmic pop experience 

Roman Flügel delivers a remix of epic proportions, stretching and dubbing out the original over the course of eight tantalising and telepathically charged minutes.  A future Barbarellas classic in the making for sure!

Otherworldy atmospherics are at play in ‘I Can’t Forget You’, as Lion packs in a driving bassline and roaming synths into this techno infused burner!  The darker vibes and dubwise sirens are intoxicating and perfectly demonstrate Lion’s production chops and a producer to look out for!

Italian dj/producer and label owner,  Ràkale takes us back in time with his new track  'Adjusting Code' out on February 14, 2019  through his self titled label “RÀKALE” .

Rakale experiments crossing funk, broken beat and techno to deliver this 80’s inspire track that is sure to set any dance floor on fire. A variety of pop synths carry this whole track giving it the life and energy it needs to give you goosebumps as you listen. 

Early support from heavy hitter such as Ame, Eagles & Butterflies, and Fabrizio Mammarella.

Safe to say that this will be roaming track will be making appearances on many dance floors around the world in 2019.

Frankey & Sandrino have been staples on labels like Innervisions, Mule Musiq and Drumpoet Community since their partnership first yielded fresh fruits back in 2010.  Delicate electronics bubble, and icy melodies float over ‘Mira’s spacey aura, bringing together elements of 90s IDM and minimal techno in a refreshing way.  On ‘Naos’, a chugging groove and Italo inspired bassline unfolds to expose a transcendental lead line and a cosmic semblance that’s as infectious as it is irresistible.  

Cin Cin founder, Fort Romeau, delivers two cuts on home turf, teaming up with Jas Shaw (one half of Brit electronic duo, Simian Mobile Disco, and currently releasing solo material as part of his Exquisite Cops series) for a brace of deep, intergalactic tracks.  ‘Saturn Ascends’ is a space age, acid romance, whilst ‘Voices [no.III]’ offers up a more spirited piece, with lively percussion and a flitting tonal riff that is teased and tweaked through the space echo for good measure.
