Kiddy Smile is an emerging icon of cultural expression. A Parisian native, Kiddy has the magnetic appeal of an instinctive performer and the style and flair of a one-of-a-kind musical star. After signing to Defected earlier this year, Kiddy Smile comes through with his debut single for the label along with some seriously heavyweight remixes that span the house subgenres.

Our Debut Transmission 'Let A B!tch Know' is embedded in the dance rituals and traditions of the scene in which Kiddy is an influential character; the track snaps with the energy of a dancer voguing and expressing themselves on the dancefloor.

The remixes of 'Let A B!tch Know' come courtesy of three house music greats including Gene Farris, fellow Parisian and Ed Banger Records mainstay Boston Bun raises the tempo, splicing in synths to give the track more of a peak time vibe. Catz 'n Dogz’ minimal approach lets Kiddy's barbed vocals shine, engaging the duo's rolling tech house style with the colourful world of the Paris balls.

Over his short but glittering career so far, Claptone has delivered no less than four summer anthems to soundtrack Ibiza and the festival season. Starting with ‘Cream’ back in 2012, the now legendary ‘No Eyes’, THAT remix of Gregory Porter and last summer’s runaway Golden Summer theme 'In The City', he has always sprinkled sunshine into our lives to help drive the winter blues away. 

This trend continues unabated with the unveiling of the infectious and hypnotic groove ‘The Drums (Din Daa Daa) Ft George Kranz’, an onomatopoeic voodoo spell road tested over the last months around the world on the masked man's constant club orbit. Claptone took inspiration from the post-punk melting pot of early 80’s NYC when he connected with the pioneering George Kranz who originally made the drums dance over 30 years ago. 

The result is a meeting of minds and rhythms, pure gold in the hands of headline DJs. Released in time to find its wings during Miami Music Week, Claptone casts the first rays of light upon you in order to conjure a long hot summer for all of us.

'Explore The Dark Side' is a collection of previously unreleased versions- and remixes from Xenia Beliayeva's well received 'Riss' artist album which saw the light of day earlier this year.

Brand new remixes by Black Asteroid, Paul Hazendonk, Christian Bachmann and Architect, extended vocal- and instrumental mixes of the iconic 'Reihe5' song and the original of 'Noir', one of the highlights of the album which wasn't released as a single before and we feel deserves some extra attention.
