Meu humilde edit de "mistura de carimbó com ciranda", do Pinduca. O carimbó é um ritmo musical amazônico e também uma dança de roda de origem indígena, típica da região norte do estado do Pará (Brasil), influenciado por negros e portugueses. O nome também se aplica ao tambor utilizado nesse estilo musical, chamado de "curimbó".

My humble edit of "mistura de carimbó com ciranda", from Pinduca. Carimbó is an Amazonian musical rythm and also a dance circle with indigenous origins, typical from North Pará State region (Brazil). It is influenced by Afro-Brazilians and Portugueses . The name also applies for the drum used in this style, named "curimbó".

Esta faixa é baseada em um tradicional Ponto de Oxóssi que pode ser observado em diversas canções populares da música brasileira. Para o edit foi utilizada a música nem ouro nem prata, de Ruy Maurity, gravada no ano de 1976 em um álbum clássico que contém lindas canções.

It has been almost one year since I first started trying to edit this music and I am not sure how much satisfied I am with the result, but still I decided to put it online. Thank you a lot @tiau for warping this track during a "hangover session" after a crazy wedding party!!! The edit is finished thanks to tou!!!

It is a petty that I do not know who are the authors of the original track, I just found a song named “Tico Tico no Fubá” in my sample folder, if anyone know who recorded the instruments please let me know, I would be glad.

Tico Tico no Fuba is a Brazilian choro, which in my humble opinion is the prettiest music style in the world. The master mind behind the creation of this beautiful song is Zequinha de Abreu.

What surprised me is the fact that this is the third out of five edits in which I am using a music that at some point gained notoriety in the famous voice of Carmen Miranda, one of the greatest Brazilian artists of all the times. This led me to some observations, because I am not even a person that can be considered a huge fan that knows all of her work. But still this influence is there. To me, this show how important this woman was to Brazilian music and how her influence is still present nowadays even that you don´t realize it clearly.

I'm a Portuguese producer and DJ, and member of the Fazuma collective. I've played a lot of shows all over Portugal. I've also won some contests promoted by national radio stations with remixes for Portuguese acts like Mind The Gap and Mundo Secreto. In 2009 I attended to the Red Bull Music Academy LX Taster. In 2010 I've released my first 12'' vinyl "Xoices Remixtura!" with remixes of two Portuguese classic reggae tunes. I've officially remixed Batida, Cacique'97, Kumpania Algazarra, Kussondulola, among many others. I've done various exclusive DJ sets on some of the most important Portuguese radio shows, and my tunes have been featured on TV shows, promocional videos and radios all over the world. I produced a weekly radio show on Antena 3 and Antena 3 Dance called "Música Quebrada" on behalf of Fazuma.
