Kicking 2024 off with an incredible edit on our 'X-PRESSINGS’ edit series by London-based sonic duo Beyond The Struttosphere. They're currently dominating, showcasing their considerable musical production expertise and unwavering passion for cosmic, chugging dark disco.

Their debut EP released on Gouranga Music found much acclaim among Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston’s A Love From Outer Space online fraternity, also appearing on Juan Mclean’s (DFA Records) contribution to Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space mix series.
Propelled to newfound heights, the cosmic duo have since released a number of highly lauded EPs, remixes and edits on esteemed labels and now of-course on our ‘X-PRESSINGS’ edit series.

A master of moody electronics, Moses brings his signature blend of reverb-soaked post-punk, hypnotic techno, and cosmic disco to this deeply atmospheric rework of DJ Spike’s Gaps in Space (1989).

Tunnel Signs has released on cutting-edge labels like IOHYOU!, Cutters Records, Clouded Vision, Darkroom Dubs, and Motorik, continuously evolving his sound while drawing praise from the likes of Skatebard, Gerd Janson, Paul Woolford, James Murphy, and Massimiliano Pagliara. His project Barney In The Tunnel with Barney Kato even landed sync placement in a global Pandora campaign.

This edit is Tunnel Signs at his finest. A fitting way to launch into the next phase of the X-PRESSINGS journey.

He’s steadily built a reputation as a producer to watch.

His productions have landed on labels like Polari Records, Paradise Palms, Sinchi Collective, Melopee, Epicure Records, and The Basement Discos, with an upcoming 4-track EP slated for release on Hammer’s Remmah imprint. Born in ’93 into a family of musicians, he was raised on the sounds of 80s legends like Phil Collins, Queen, and Tina Turner. This upbringing sparked a deep fascination that led him to master instruments like drums, guitar, piano, and turntables. while also exploring philosophy, forming a unique foundation for his artistry.

Drawn to the world of underground electronic music, Storken blends the deep-rooted traditions of Sweden’s hinterlands with the magnetic allure of electronic disco. His debut release, “Lille Vals,” on Gerd Janson’s Running Back label, made waves across the global dance scene, followed by his EP “Skogsdisko”, which channels the spirit of the Swedish wilderness into a rich disco soundscape.

With support from names like Todd Terje, Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Folamour, The Blessed Madonna, Purple Disco Machine, and Krystal Klear, Storken continues to forge a path where tradition meets innovation.
