Trunk Of Funk 3 (as heard on BBC Radio 6Music, 6th April 2024)

I do love a rattling breakbeat, a smashing of kicks, percussion, snares and hi hats and this mix has plenty. I literally loaded over 3000 tracks into my Mixed In Key program and worked my way through this mix using about 60 different tracks all the while trying to keep it Funky Breaks related. This summer I had the awesome opportunity to DJ a 30min funk meets hip hop set at the Fool's Leap stage at Boomtown Fair, an incredible immersive UK festival. It's taken me awhile, but I finally re-recorded the mix, and I'm quite proud of it.

The band who were on after me (Mischa and His Merry Men) had something like 11 members and it took them a while to setup, so I got to go a little past my 30minutes.
