Skunkface is a hip-hop rapper and songwriter. His songs draw inspiration from personal struggles in love, identity and fatherhood, and they artfully depict the real life and metaphorical battles he’s faced.   Skunkface creates melodic, gritty rap songs full of gripping emotion. With undertones alluding to religion and spirituality, Skunkface’s urban sounds toys with concepts of life and death, depression, and unstable relationships. Solo recording artist, Skunkface, aka Joel Espada, has performed in a variety of local venues throughout Connecticut.   In August, 2018, he celebrated the release of his album, “Postpartum” With songs such as “Zombie girl”, and “Park Ave.”   With the project available on Spotify, Soundcloud, and Apple Music. He has also released several music videos on his youtube channel. With big plans, Skunkface is moving forward, working on new projects and is planning on releasing new music soon.
