Underground Colombo (UC) was envisioned by Kushan Dissanayake, and his co-founder, Kasun Dissanayake, who is known as Kais D. This dynamic duo, driven by their shared passion for underground music, embarked on this journey together in 2016.

Inspired by the vibrant energy of Sri Lanka's music scene, they had a vision—to cultivate a close-knit community that immersed itself in the rhythms they cherished. Alongside them was their best friend, Buddika Wijebandara, forming an unbreakable trio.

Their first step was the establishment of a Facebook community, a digital haven for kindred spirits, which rapidly flourished and now boasts a dedicated following of 15,000 strong. But that was only the beginning.

Determined to take their passion to the next level, they decided to launch their own SoundCloud page. This expansion was made possible with the unwavering support of Azmara Veera, a pivotal figure in UC's journey. She, along with the team, contributed creative forces that allowed UC to venture into new territories. 

However, UC isn't solely about music; it's a dynamic, all-encompassing experience. They added a unique visual and editorial flair to UC, making it an aesthetic delight.

Underground Colombo on SoundCloud is more than just a platform; it's a testament to the commitment and dedication of these individuals and the community they've nurtured. The beats, melodies, and sonic landscapes come to life through this collaborative effort.

At the end of the 80's there was disco music 88 House and the underground started 91 Techno started 93 Trance started 95 Rave breakbeat dance and today it sounds the same for 30 years there are no more sound revolutions

Hi Everyone . my story.  I was on holiday with the lads and I went into this bar.  There  was a laptop and a sound system of course I decided to have fun. Began to play tracks that would get the dance floor busy plus people who like to sit and chill and listen . After Three days I emptied all the bars and the small bar expanded onto the street. That was it I decided to become a DJ.
    Dj Travano  has become an incredible Dj in the Techno scene has had a couple Four number 1s in the Mixcloud  charts and few top Tens  . DJ Travano also has been in a few radio Stations the likes of Underground KOLLEKTIV and Techno Connection and currently with Biggest Disco Radio and has a few major events with them in his short time there . you can check out Dj Travano mixes here on SoundCloud and on Facebook just hit the link section .  Have fun in listening to his high energy sets .
  Achievements :  DJ Travano won The Mixtape Magazine DJ Competition
                              Received First place in the Techno Mixcloud Charts
