We also discuss the importance of sharing how healing the teachings of penimiyus haTorah is - even if some consider this to be a tacit critique of those segments of klal Yisrael who have not yet opened to the light of the Geulah they contain.

This song was composed on the yartzeit of Rebbe Kloynimus Kalman Shapira, the Piacezner rebbe. This video, a tribute to his and his focus on educating Jewish youth, is dedicated l'zecher nishmaso.

The Piacezner rebbe was a giant of spirit. Unique among rebbes, he formulated an entire system of Torah thought built on a penetrating analysis of both the kabbalistic tradition and the human psyche. His seforim are filled with the melody of his poetic soul, lending the most incredible encouragement from that dark time in Jewish history. Though his holy kingdom was destroyed by the Nazis ym"s, his fire lives on in today's youth, who carry the torch of our eternal spirit. In our generation, his torch burns more brightly than ever before. Zechuso yagein aleinu.

Niggun Aish Kodesh - A Tribute to the Piacezner Rebbe

In this essential class, we discuss the pressing need for our generation to return to the soul of the Torah, to bring Hashem back into our religious observance in a concrete and experiential way. We use sources from the Vilna Gaon, Degel Machaneh Ephraim, and Rav Kook to demonstrate the bond between p'nimiyus haTorah and the final redemption. Finally, we explore a 1913 letter in which Rav Kook called for "radical" and revolutionary change in our educational system and discussed the manner in which that call is echoing in our times, louder than ever.
