Patrick Topping returns to Hot Creations with his 'Taking Libz EP' and demonstrates why his reputation carries such weight with three special tracks that act as a master-class in how to create music that will consume dance floors.

First up is 'Brayed' which takes the listener on a loopy and enriching journey, whilst 'Howk' is a classic foot-to-the-floor number. Concluding the EP is 'Taking Libz', the title track that sees Topping firmly hold onto his crown with this unstoppable cut.

i-D Magazine described Patrick’s style "that is characterized by punchy, chugging baselines that have become weapons in the sets of many a DJ." Started his career DJing at the club night Motion in Newcastle, he was quickly snapped up by Jamie Jones, for Hot Creations. Releases on the label and a residency at Paradise DC10 in Ibiza soon followed and 2014 saw him release ‘Get Beasty’, ‘Forget’ and ‘Voicemail’ featuring Green Velvet and concluded with a hattrick of awards including winning the DJ Mag Best Newcomer, Track Of The Season and Best Tune awards in their Best of British Awards.

Our fearless label founder and all round head honcho John 00 Fleming joins forces with Italian DJ and producer Roby M Rage on the dark and mysterious 'The Devils Gates Of Heaven'. Regarded with legendary status, John Fleming continues to delight with his brand of mind blowing music. He is one of the most gifted artists of a generation and his sound has graced a multitude of labels over the years. A hard working DJ, producer and promoter, he finds himself travelling the world, gracing the decks at countless venues with open to close sets becoming a big feature on his tours. Described as a national treasure of the trance world by Radio 1's Pete Tong, John 00 Fleming is an artist who has achieved international success in a career spanning over 20 years without dishonouring his musical essence or fans. John remains a very much respected figure on the underground scene. This is down to his integrity in his performances and his no-nonsense take on all things music. His long running JOOF and related labels continue to go from strength to strength and recently he has been sourcing some superb breakthrough up and coming artists who are proving their worth in style. Roby M Rage has been passionate about electronic music since a very young age. In the late 80's he started DJing in different clubs, festivals and radio shows: Alter Ego, Cyber, La Scala, Syncopate, Villa Ada Festival, Rototom, Asylum, La Capannina, Dominus, Sottosopra, Imperiale, Mandrea Festival, Radio Luna and Officina 99 to name a few. He has won awards for his skills and worked on the infamous DJ Mag doing artist reviews for a time. His style of production is mainly influenced by labels such Warp, R&amp;S, Bpitch Control, Nervous, Ninja Tune, Soma Records, Drumcode and Second State and his tracks have been making waves since 2014 with support coming in from many quarters. A welcome addition to the JOOF roster.The Devils Gates Of Heaven is a seriously dark and twisted affair that will prove popular on the floors with its tough edged approach. We're lulled by soft swirling pads that lift the hairs on the back of your neck before being gripped by the scruff and thrown into a blizzard of pounding beats and dirty basslines. An extremely brief respite falls on the break where we find surreal melodies that are soon engulfed by the solid dark trance groove. This is the debut release on Noir Music from Brazilian K.A.L.I.L.
We have been working quite some time to perfect this first release from him on the label and give it the edge needed to stand out.
After tons of road-testing and going back and forth with production ideas I am now happy to have 2 perfect tracks ready from K.A.L.I.L. that really showcase his super solid techno sound and production flair.

Involved (co-produced with Any Mello) is a quite simple trip with Any’s spoken word in center of industrial elements wobling it and out.

This track works really well in the clubs because of its on point minimalism, the high intensity stacatto synths and the catchy vocal line from Any. It's not easy to do big tracks without big basslines - but that's what K.A.L.I.L. and Any Mello truely achieved with this one.

Revolved is a track I signed already last year and since then K.A.L.I.L. has been perfecting everything about the track from small details to bigger arrangement improvements. This track has that big bassline that sits right in your face. It also has the right build for those peaktime moments in the clubs.
I have been playing “Revolved” a lot over the past months and people go crazy for those big bass drops.

We are honored to have another great producer join the Noir Music family and proud to have another belter of a release ready for you.
