I wrote this in my 20s in the Apartheid era as a tribute to the many people we lost.

During this time our home and our church were invaded by the Special Branch while we were holding meetings. Our phone was tapped, and at work I received a scare call from the Wit Wolf that a bomb was placed in our legal offices. And yet my anti-apartheid involvement was very light-touch and perfectly legal! Heady days indeed.

But that will lead to instable balance sooner or later. Sometimes a human must cry. So I allow myself to stop faking thinking positive, being strong and indestructable. Mesmerizing pitter-patter;
scent of a fresh storm; 
Delicious seeing water dripping down your form.
A cool drink from the clouds, 
nothing makes a person live their life more fully,  
like knowing how fleeting it can be.

Feeling you splashing down from the heavens.

Water droplets on my girlfriends lips,
