Etch Presents the second release on his new imprint Altered Roads. Again looking down different avenues in terms of sonic diversity, tempo and functionality with disregard for pre- conception. Opening with the spacious and weightless drum choppage of ‘Lost Orbit VIP’ looking back to BBC Radiophonic era synth work and all the cosmological imagery that conjures up. The second track ‘Phenomena’ is a different beast altogether, stripped back to the bare minimum of a claustrophobic sub bass, off-kilter Loefah-meets-J Dilla beat and the monotonous groan of an unknown entity, built off the back of an admiration for psychological survival horror video games such as Silent Hill and Forbidden Siren. The first track of side b ‘Beggars Belief’ is a distant cousin of Etch’s 2015 release on Wisdom Teeth ‘Toxin’, with grimey basslines clashing with swung beats, broken glass and gushes of warm synth chords. The final track ‘Paging Dr.Octagon’ Etch directly inputs his admiration for Kool Keith’s alien surgeon. Chopping up old school breaks in the hardest way possible over looped synths and samples from the Mo Wax classic. Available on 12” and digi Etch continues to take his visual sonics down as many paths as possible and this is still just the beginning; with the continued art collaboration from Dario Bea a limited run of t-shirts will also be shipping along with this release. HOLD TIGHT.

Originally slated for release on 24 Karat back in the day , this monstrous 12” alas never made it past the white label promo stage, leading it to becoming one of the most sought-after Jungle plates of the modern era.

Lovingly remastered by Bob Macc at Subvert Central, with hand-stamped artwork by Dublin artist CISTO and pressed at Record Industry, this vinyl-only release is most definitely not to be slept on!

Cosmic Bridge welcomes back Margari’s Kid for his second EP "We Are Ghosts Now". 

"We Are Ghosts Now" follows 2017 sellout label debut "Init 1" and two years on and now living in Bristol, Spanish producer José María Moya Sánchez has upped the ante further. Developed, deep and immersive; his unique 170bpm seekers music will continue to draw references to Burial and Instra:Mental / dBridge's Autonomic Drum & Bass but we'll pass you over to label head Om Unit to give you the full low down.

"Across the microcosms of Drum & Bass off shoots there are many sound-a-likes clinging to cliche'd references and rigid tropes; This only leads to a stale, repetitive and self referential culture and is why Margari's Kid supersedes his peers. Standing alone he creates deceptively beautiful and human tracks that while they feel simple, are in fact intricately layered with detail and emotion. These tracks are testament to the rich rewards achieved when a person injects a sense of real humanity into the often overly-technical domain of minimalism. As Margari's Kid, José María Moya Sánchez is is almost entirely leaning out of the pre-existing sphere of Drum & Bass and dancing in the rain on his own. This could be the beginning of something very special, and I think you should really pay attention."
