I was really nervous on the way to the playa but once I started playing and saw all these lovely people dancing and enjoying my music all the weight fell off. Chance of Rain [February 2023]

I had the honor of DJing for the Faerie Freedom Village at San Francisco Pride this year. The LGBTQIA+ community in SF provided me with my first safe container to explore nightlife, and it was wonderful to celebrate and share some music at one of the best Pride parties on the planet!

My hour-long set turned into a 45-minute filler DJ 'set' and a 75-minute set that unfortunately started with some technical difficulties, so I decided to record a two-hour set containing most of the tracks I played while still coasting off the energy of Sunday's amazing dancers. Thank you so much for grooving with me!

I have never taken a request before (and probably won't ever again), but the first track of this set is an exception I made for my the friend who invited me to play and was responsible for organizing the entire stage area (1/8 of SF Pride!) by himself. I love you, Shy!

Thank you again to my wonderful friend, Feathers for Fun, who made my beautiful rainbow piece! She's based in Miami and is happy to customize to your heart's desires!

I was given the honor of playing for @opulentchillmusic at 5pm on burn night (Saturday) at this year's Burning Man. I contemplated leaving the event when driving a friend to Reno on the Thursday before but had spent more than a month collecting and cultivating some music and returned to BRC beyond excited to play... until the weather took a turn for the worst and forced me to miss my set while sheltering in place (you may have seen the news).

A friend and I spent more than eight hours exiting the city (the time it took to reach actual road/pavement) yesterday, and I'm beyond grateful to be home. I wanted to record a mix while my feelings about the past few days and our shared experiences (trauma bonding?) were still fresh. I hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much to Opulent Chill for the opportunity to play and to the amazing friends who took me in when it was clear that my tent situation was not going to work with the incoming weather. Celebrated a friend's birthday (Happy Birthday, Steve!) and enjoyed a Merry Christmas with friends at @thatfuckinbar

The first 40min is mostly deep organic house, followed by some disco (~20min) and eventually some tech house :)

I had the honor of playing a poolside set for Camp Silver Spur (near Yosemite) this past Fourth of July during their Glitter Ranch campout.

Everyone was lovely, but I felt the energy change at some point and tried to match the music accordingly. A gentleman floating in the pool shared his experience of being in the water when the bass changed (after my set), which was nice 😅

Camp Silver Spur Glitter Ranch July 4th Poolside (Rework) [July 2024]

Filled in for someone who missed their DJ slot at the Glitter Ranch Campout this past Fourth of July week and got to play poolside again at the lovely Camp Silver Spur property! 🙌

At this point the left tempo slider was kicking my tracks and/or going to the last cue point if I touched it while a track was playing, and I think the left deck kicked my first 3-4 tracks in the first 10-15min of me hopping on (thankfully on beat, so at least people didn't really notice... I think it must have gotten wet?). 

We also discovered that the main sound wasn't plugged in at the beginning of my set, likely when I turned down the monitors (and headphones) because I still have sensitive hearing. Thankfully my friends jumped in, and I was able to share some more music 😅❤️

I wanted to play the last track included here when I played poolside, but the DJ after me reminded me that I "wasn't even on the schedule" and declined my request. Anyway, happy to include another @avrosse banger at the end of this rework 💪

Live set recorded at LocoDico OC at The Wayfarer in Costa Mesa. It was a sold out night and the vibes were top notch. I played some banging house stuff until someone requested some DnB. I then asked the crowd if they wanted some DnB and the crowd seemed up for it. so we switched gears and ended the night with some DnB along with an encore. What a great night.

an amazing experience in the dubai desert with what has now become a new family. So much love for the dubai crew + the disorient family for taking the utmost care of us within these 3 beautiful days.  Count us in for this on a yearly basis.

Just Emma - When We Dip Radio #10 [24.3.17]

I am so happy to share with you this Set I recorded at the Spirit Train Fundraiser in Cape Town just a few days after the Burn ended.
I feel honored and blessed that this great crew included me in their loving Spirit both at Afrika Burn and at the Afterburn.

Afrika Burn 2019 - The Spirit Train Afterburn (11.5.19)

YamYams has had the joy of playing various festivals, campouts, and 40+ venues across five US states, including Burning Man 2023, San Francisco Pride 2023, Cascadia NW Music & Arts Festival 2025, various fundraisers for Opulent Temple and the official Burning Man org, and SeaCompression 2024 & 2025 (Seattle's official Burning Man Decompression event).

Born in Hawaii and raised in San Francisco, YamYams grew up mostly studying classical music and jazz while singing and playing the piano, clarinet, and guitar with various bands around the San Francisco Bay Area. She found her way to electronic music via a then new love for drum and bass, eventually building a square-wave synthesizer from scratch while studying physics in college. YamYams also managed various touring artists for ~20 years before finally starting to play out and tour herself in 2022.

YamYams grew up on 90s hip hop and R&B and has always had a soft spot for classic rock, punk rock, and symphonic death metal. YamYams loves most forms of music and says she typically plays “house,” but that’s been known to include afro and latin beats along with influences from her classical & jazz music backgrounds and things like hip hop, breaks, and techno. Some friends say YamYam's style can be described as "open genre."
