Rheintor Hotel 的女老板给我们端来了樱桃饮料，分别放在相邻的桌子上。杯子外面镶嵌着金银色图案，让这款饮料看上去晶莹剔透。



瘦小男人举起他的一杯，用浓重口音的德语说：“ 杨女士，认识您很高兴，让我们首先庆祝和中国的友谊吧！”



我试探性地喝了一小口，感觉里面配了点儿酒精，就把杯子轻轻放在桌上。他呢，出于礼貌，也把还没喝完的饮料放下。



我对他用德语说：“请您慢慢用餐吧。这期间，让我来熟悉一下您这台手提电脑的键盘”。



在调出的空白文件上，我试着打了几行字，然后阅读屏上的提示。我感觉理解起来很吃力，起初，还以为是自己的电脑和德语水平造成的。过了几分钟，我才发现，啊，原来，他手提电脑上用的语言不是德语，尽管和德语挺相似！



瘦小男人在用餐，此时，他看到我迷惑不解的神色，就走过来看看。还没等我问他，电脑用的是何种语言，他突然快步走到酒店前台，问老板娘有没有一块干净的布，允许他用一下，擦擦他的电脑屏幕。



我看看屏幕，上面的灰尘确实很多。联想到他那皱巴巴的黑色电脑包 － 就是小偷也不会要的一个破旧黑包呀 － 嗨，谁能想到里面竟然藏着好东西！



拿到了一块干净的白布，他几乎是飞也似的来到我的桌前。难怪，他刚从奔驰车里出来的时候，酒店老板对我和他的女友说”：看看，这位小个子欧洲男人的步伐很豪迈啊！“



他说：”现在屏幕干净了，您可以继续打字了。“

  

我回答：“ 可是，我还是看不懂屏幕上的提示，上面的，是什么语言呢？“ 



他拍了一下自己的脑袋，笑着说：” 哎呀，对不起，我给忘了，这是佛莱芒语 （Flemisch） － 是我们比利时的另一种语言。 来，我给您换成英语吧！“。



“ 刚才，您对酒店老板说自己是爱尔兰人，怎么又成了比利时？”



( 我愣住了。。。。😔 😺 💭 😖 )



他说：“ 我呀，是常年住在比利时的爱尔兰人，坦率地说，我是常年奔走在世界各国的欧洲人。”



“ 那您，会很多国家的语言，是否可以把电脑换成我的第一外语德语呢？要不，最好换成中文之星“！我笑着说。



”上面没有德语。中文？那要等到我以后去中国换， 哈哈！“ 



我说：”好吧，让我先打几行字试试 “：



 外语是人生斗争的一种武器。（ Foreign language is a weapon in life struggle ）



他看了，严肃地问我：” ，斗争？武器？ 谁说的？“



我说：” 卡尔 马克思 （ Karl Marx ）“，是你们欧洲人。您读过他的资本论（ Das Kapital ）吗？







他说：” 奥，那小子，穷得叮当响，还有钱出书吗？ 中国的毛泽东 （ Mao Zedong ），那可是真本事，写的红宝书被翻成多种文字！“



” 毛泽东也学过英语，他还教导我们：语言这东西，不是随便可以学好的，非下苦功不可。“（ Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung ）



瘦小男人听了我的话，又看了我打的字，反复念了几遍毛泽东的汉语拼音，问我他的发音对不对。得到肯定的答复后，他笑得像个孩子。



他对我说：“您稍等，我一会儿就回来，然后, 他就健步如飞地离开了酒店”。



我不知道他为何匆忙到了酒店外面，只是看到他的步态，让我想起了德国喜剧大师卓别林 （ Sir Charles Spencer "Charlie" Chaplin ）走路的样子。
