Exploring relatable themes of escape, existentialism, and wanderlust, internet rapper-producer Yangusaruresu has found a home within the hearts of angsty Japanese youth. 

• Yangusaruresu stepped into the Japanese rap scene via SoundCloud with his 2014 single "BABYBOY", followed by his EP I'm So Bad!.
• Hailing from Yokohama, a commercial suburb on the outskirts of Japan, Yangusaruresu makes music inpired by his hometown's shopping centers, which serve as hubs for global cultural exchange.
• In 2017, Yangusaruresu and emo-rapper Jotara released a single on SoundCloud which received a total of 200K streams. It was later on deleted and reposted with Yangusaruresu's original chorus replaced with vocals by Monami "Seiyu".
• The following year, Yangusaruresu put forth his debut mixtape, DUMB, which was closely followed by a full album, 3X3CUTION.
• Yangusaruresu directed the video for his self-produced 2018 single "Only you", pairing dream-like visuals with his computerized soundscapes. 
• With the gap between the natural mellow voice and the aggressive songs, his emotional lyrics have earned enthusiastic support, especially among the youth generation.
• In 2019, Yangusaruresu created his record label, Selfish, along with rappers Lil Yami and Leijitama.
