Deluxe version of “Sans Dormir” album gathers, in addition to the LP itself, a bunch of 13 rare tracks from Bot’Ox. 13 tracks produced between 2005, when Cosmo Vitelli and Julien Briffaz officially started their collabroation as a duo, and 2013. Some of them were previously only released as vinyls and could not be found anymore (Lada Rock, Grand Central...), others were only available on digital platforms (Arrogant American Pig featuring the great Kim Fowley, Perfect Pair featuring Foremost Poets, Theme from Mineurs 27...), some others are totally new (Cool Long While featuring Judy Nylon, I Just Can’t Help Myself…). 

Unlike the LP that was conceived as such in a short period of time, no cohesion is to be found in this additional material except from the very own musical Bot’Ox identity. Mixing the codes of club music, krautrock, movie scores, pop, Bot’Ox speak the language of restless nights, whether you spend them on deserted dancefloors, endless roads or in lonely bedrooms.

La version “deluxe” de “Sans Dormir” rassemble, en plus de l’album lui-même, une compilation de treize morceaux rares de Bot’Ox. Treize morceaux produits entre 2005, l’année où Cosmo Vitelli et Julien Briffaz ont officiellement débuté leur collaboration en tant que duo, et 2013. Certains d’entre eux n’étaient présents que sur vinyles, disques aujourd’hui épuisés (Lada Rock, Grand Central…) ; d’autres n’étaient disponibles qu’en digital (Arrogant American Pig avec le grand Kim Fowley, Perfect Pair avec Foremost Poets, Theme from Mineurs 27 de la BO du film du même nom…)  ; d’autres encore sont totalement inédits (Cool Long While featuring Judy Nylon, I Just Can’t Help Myself…).

Contrairement à l’album qui a été conçu en tant que tel sur une courte période, ce supplément n’a pas de cohérence d’ensemble, si ce n’est l’identité musicale très particulière de Bot’Ox. Mélangeant les codes de la club music, des bandes originales de cinéma, de la pop, du krautrock, Bot’Ox parlent le langage des nuits sans repos, qu’on les passe sur des dancefloors dépeuplés, sur les routes qui ne finissent pas ou dans les chambres solitaires.

Sisters & Brothers is a new series of releases under https://soundcloud.com/hfn-music, curated by https://soundcloud.com/kasperbjorke and https://soundcloud.com/sexylazer. Sitting in one of their weekly steam bath sessions, the two friends, DJs and studio collaborators came to the conclusion that instead of starting a label themselves, they should team up with an established imprint and focus on what they really like - making tracks and discovering great new music from their friends (hence Brothers & Sisters).

Refusing to be limited by genre, the two Copenhagen residents will be taking us on a journey all over the place - as evidenced with the first EP by their very own project: The Mansisters.

Well we are back from our summer holidays with a new PREMIERE FROM PARDON MOI!!!! Its part of an EP which is set to be released this weekend in preparation for the Andrew Weatherall Convenanza Festival!!! 

A little bit of text about it:

Berlin based Pardon Moi, consisting of James Brook and Thomas Freudenthal, makes music that would fit perfect as a soundtrack for a ride in a Ferrari GTO convertible, or on a transatlantic flight on a Concorde. Unfortunately, vintage Ferraris are ridiculously expensive and Concords are taken out of flight but still, the music creates an air of luxury and decadence for you to fill your lungs and air with.,,Swiftly bursting into the electronic scene in 2016, the duo managed to release a couple of EPs and singles on Nein Records and Emerald & Doreen Recordings and then drew the attention of one of the most interesting and diverse European labels - Gothenburg based Höga Nord Records.,,Pardon Moi’s sound is warm, creative, uplifting and retro thanks to the use of analogue synthesisers. The musical direction is toward the future. A utopia built in a world where the 90s never happened. This is retro futuristic dance music, but the music doesn't stop with being only nostalgic but holds qualities that would make any actor within any scene of modern electronic dance music envy.'

Fontän have had the honour to be remixed by some of the most interesting names in electronic music: Red Axes, Timothy J. Fairplay, Khidja, Mythologen and Pardon Moi give their take on tracks from the duo’s latest release Fontän (Höga Nord Rekords, 2017). The music moves in the landscapes of Leftfield, Techno, House and New Wave.
The evolution of Fontän continues from the cold and barren landscapes of the Swedish west coast, through some of the deepest cave like studios in Europe, out on to the continental club scene.

What Is What (Facets Edit)

A kite is a tethered heavier-than-air craft with wing surfaces that react against the air to create lift and drag. A kite consists of wings, tethers and anchors. Kites often have a bridle and tail to guide the face of the kite so the wind can lift it. Kites is also the title of the premiere by Zurich Dada.
The track takes us back to the darkest depths of the retro future from Zurich Dada a Portuguese Synth Pop duo who take inspiration from quantum physics and the multiverse theory as much as they do from Depeche Mode or the Human League the track itself reinvented reworked and reconfigured by Anbau, the Catalan stalwart of Aspecto Humano.
In a kicking rewiring with a gorgeous vocal performance, tough drums, melodic analogue synths in a digital age. This is going to fly.

French label Meant has had a great run of things in 2012 with standout release from Vosper, Rework and Remain vs Populette getting love from DJs across the board and extensive press support. Now the imprint looks to an act that have already proved their worth with previous releases, the excellent Monoblok&PSLKTR.
Monoblok&PSLKTR have been working together since 2009 and have been responsible for releases on Notorious Elektro and Lebensfreud Records as well as of course the Meant label. Their unique take on the modern sound of electro has given them a loyal fan base and this latest release with its intense feel and stellar remix selection is certain to attract plenty of attention.
The EP kicks off with title track ‘Spooky’, a rolling, dark edged affair that melds element of electro and techno into a cut that is intense from beginning to end. Vocoded vocals, off kilter synth parts and nagging top lines tie the record together and make for a rollercoaster of a listen! The original is accompanied by a remix from French production heavyweight Michel Amato AKA The Hacker who turns into a full bore, old school electro workout that is simply stunning.
The flipside of the vinyl gets going with ‘Sigminder’ featuring MTH, a brooding and squelchy electronic workout that walks a balanced line between dark and light with its swirling FX and close to distortion synth riffs, quality stuff. The remix duties on ‘Sigminder’ are handed to LaDameNoir who deliver a hypnotic reworking that retains much of the original character whilst very much stamping it’s own sound on things.
There are 2 digital exclusives, the Vosper remix of ‘Sigminder’ which delivers some quality techno and the ‘Assault on Meant 15 edit’ of Spooky that offers up some slo-mo soundtrack action.
