The end of another beautiful year for Kindisch has come. We’ve had so many fantastic releases from amazing artists and with this compilation we take a look back on some of the most memorable moments. The compilation spans from the beaches of Ibiza with Ben Hoo, to the empty midnight streets of Berlin with Nick Galemore and into the deep Mexican jungles with medicine-man LUM. Bedouin are on board with their uniquely warm blend of organic and electronic soundscape, as are Kindisch newcomers Kora and Adrien with ‘Nuit dAfrique’. Fractal Mood, Tanstui, In Colour, Gab Rhome, Marcelo Cura, Omurah and Mike Witcombe are all featured on the compilation as well, giving you a thorough and diverse selection from the 2016 Kindisch catalogue. We look back on this year with much love and warmth as we prepare for a new year full of potential and wonder.

Kindisch Presents: Best Of Kindisch 2016 (Minimix)

Days are disappearing and nights are taking over. We witness a burst of colour just before it clears space for the bright white blanket. And this new season brings another Amselcom release.

Sweden’s Victor Norman is guided by the signs of the time in his extraordinary track “Hymn”. He gently unites depth and gloom with fragile melancholy to form a moving and sensual track.

Bernstein and Birds of Mind attend to the original, each concentrating on a different characteristic. While the former adds drive to underline the verve of the tune, the French duo intensifies the melodic and frisky side of the track.

To round off the release, Victor teams up with slowmo specialist Harro Triptrap in a hot turn. “Mimikry” first appears to be a peaceful creature, but its rogue character eventually shows itself.

Winter treats us to storms and nights of fire. And these feelings are captured by the photographer Xiao Yang, adding the perfect optical surrounding to the release.

Featuring London-based band Dems’ haunting vocals, the emotive style echoes the shimmering soundscapes of Scene Delete, infused with the innovative flair of a musician currently at the top of his creative game.

‘I’ve been really excited about this record for some time,’ Sasha says. ‘When we originally got the vocal back from Dems I instantly knew it was something special. We just needed to find the right project for it. I’m looking forward to it being part of the new show along with a lot of new material.’

Hola!

 Here is the recording of my very first sunrise set at Burning Man 2018 in the Black Rock Desert. I started playing around 5:45 am, the lights and lasers were still glowing in the cold darkness of the night..as the songs were passing by, the sky turned blue and the horizon warmer. Burners were all facing the deep playa, waiting for the sun to appear. It was an honour to soundtrack this moment and share music in such a magical place. No matter how hard I try, words can barely describe the energy and emotions felt in that instant... I hope music can express it better. 

I'd like to thank Maxa Camp & The Gardens of Babylon for inviting me to play on this beautiful Xaman Art Car...the mystical blue deer.   I’m very grateful to have shared this moment with so many incredible souls, old and new friends.
