In the fall of 2004 the Yata-Garasu project was born from the mind of Paul Hoeylaerts from a little village in Belgium called Olen. 

The reason why I started producing my own music is because I felt like there was something missing from our music scene.
Back in the 2003/2004 days & start of the real Darkpsy scene, I always wanted to hear something... different, something that I couldn't find & hasn't been done before. 

So I took inspirations from all kinds of music, from Sigur Ros, Boards of Canada, Air, Aphex Twin, to Paolo Conte, Franco Battiato, Amadeo Minghi, to Chopin, Handel, Bach, Stravinsky, to a couple of my favorite psytrance producers from back in the days like Penta, Dark Soho & Cosma.
And last but not least, I always took the most inspirations from Anime & Anime music. 

I decided to combine my real knowledge of music, atmospheres & sounds and create my own 2 sub-genres 
EmotionPsy/Core & AnimePsy/Core.
And as the pioneer for PsyCore.
I can say proudly that there isn't a single artist that sounds like me, that makes what I make.
Originality is key, and this is important to me.
