GLOTZBACH is a vinyl enthusiast and disc jockey from Southern Germany. He found his passion for techno music through clubbing and working at a record store, where he spend his work breaks digging through sounds from the past.

Nowadays his record collection holds more than 1400 releases covering a variety of subgenres. 

While he is a lover of old releases, new productions also fit his vision of dance music and find their way into his collection and mixes.

He is guaranteed to captivate the listener by shifting through different sorts of groove orientated sounds.

Amsterdam-based Dj Ojo Ojo is up next on the 66th edition of our mix series. They seek the balance between archaic baselines, groove and energetic-hybrid euphoria. No thinking, only dancing and no risk = no fun. This is like a philosophy to the artist and also comes back in their role as one of the conceptualizers of the event series “Parrhesia”, which is focused on delivering an intoxicating & innovative take on the genre.

For this podcast we have the pleasure of hosting none other than Lucas Sosa (AR) (https://soundcloud.com/lucas-sosa-ar). The emerging artist from Argentina is going fast with releases on labels such as Xelima Records & Influenced Records. With his style, which he describes as fun, enveloping and rhythmic, we are very happy with the latest addition to our podcast series.


For this podcast he has mainly opted for a sound with a more hypnotic and groovy tint. A sound that is close to him. He managed to develop this sound first from clubs he frequented visited, after which he delved into it even more in corona and was able to develop his own sound identity. He is one of the artists who approach the scene with a storm after the corona-break, about this and about the Argentinian scene he says: ''... the scene is in full swing, there was always a very high level. After the pandemic a wave of new artists of my age emerged, who are representing all over the country and neighboring countries. There is a lot of union and it's great.”

In addition to spinning and his own productions, the Podcast 022 host also has two labels of his own, 'Trucking Records' and 'Ri7mo'. He says about his labels: “With my friend Pepi, we started trucking as an event producer, and then we tried it as a record label. We had been wanting to have one for a long time (…) Ri7mo - also together with Pepi - was born less than a year ago, with the idea of focusing more on the sound that I'm playing and producing nowadays.’’

We are very excited to link such a rising star to us and welcome it to our family. In addition to this podcast, he will soon have releases on major labels such as bcco, influenced, elberec and also a first vinyl release on a V.A. It certainly doesn't stop here for him, and we're here to see it.

▻ You are originally from Munich, and now you live in Berlin, what brought you there?

I moved to Berlin for my masters but I loved the city since I was a child. Together with my passion for techno it just made sense to move there.

▻ Where did you have your last gig and how was it?

My last gig was Anomalie Art Club in Berlin for a privat event. It was fun but I‘m looking forward to play a clubnight someday. 

▻ You produce your own music in the meantime, how do you always start there and with what equipment do you have for it at the start?

I start with the kick and bassline, add a synth and fill the tracks with drums. I use an analog four a tr8s and ableton live to make my music. 

▻ What's on your musical agenda for 2023?

Finishing my first EP.

▻ I heard you go out a lot, what are your favorite clubs?

Berghain, RSO and ELSE.

Confusion, the Heidelberg-based both DJ and producer is the co-founder of event, podcast series and label @raserei_official. In his musical makings, confusion creates an ongoing hypnotic sound by combining stripped down rhythms, trippy vocals and emerging synths. With the Raserei crew he contributes to his home base a place for like-minded people by hosting the Raserei show since 2018 at Mannheims Disco Zwei with well-respected bookings. 

So be prepared to get lost in this months installment with Confusion.
