My next guest on Yax Invites is Jarrod Yeates.

Jarrod is a Boorloo (Perth) based artist motivated by high energy locked grooves who runs the @dosed-audio label with fellow wax collectors @enerobics and @jacobuntitled as well as long running local night FLUX with @sertechno.  

As a long time listener and obsessive collector, his sound is a strong representation of his affinity with 90s / 2000s vinyl, blending old and new tracks that define that era. Red hot, Mackie driven tribal weapons are the main event here with a healthy contribution of deep, minimalistic FM melters and even a bit of trance.  

‘This mix was done with no set plan in mind, in one take and with only my ears to guide me through which records would mix well. I have a deep love for the human touch that you can hear on vinyl mixes which are becoming increasingly rarer in the digital age. One of my needles was slightly on its way out half way through this mix but that's part of the joys and imperfections of playing on wax’.
