MOCEAN - IBIZA GLOBAL RADIO - APRIL 22

Wowowowowowwwww what a night! I had the privilege to play a fundraiser for one of my favourite Burning Man crews, the Salty Jacks, at their fundraiser on June 4, 2022. It was an incredible night with amazing people and amazing vibes, and I joined a lineup of amazingly talented DJs, including local legends Mark Slee and Rachel Torro! And to top it all off, this night kicked off my birthday week! Not a bad way to celebrate another spin around the sun, right???

The June edition of Wayward brought together an amazing lineup consisting of Moray Rivers, Sage Farris, Major Trouble, and myself... and Major Trouble and I were also celebrating our birthdays (along with Ms. Trouble aka Rachael)! Serendipity Camp Tuesday Homecoming Burning Man 2018

Yaz is a San Francisco-based DJ who enjoys playing tech house, deep tech, minimal, and techno. He is an active member of the Burning Man community and underground house/techno community in San Francisco.

Yaz has played all over San Francisco at all the major venues, including Public Works, Mighty / The Great Northern, Monarch, Midway, and Halcyon. He was a resident DJ at the venerated Wish Lounge for 5+ years, running his monthly Wayward party right up until the pandemic caused Wish to close. Once it was safe to do so, he has taken Wayward to its new home F8 Nightclub, and has been a resident there since August 2021. 

Yaz has collaborated with many different promoters and labels, and has opened and closed for (or shared billing with) well-known artists including John Digweed, Bob Moses, The Scumfrog, Tommy Four Seven, John Monkman, Technasia, and Marques Wyatt, to name a few.

His love for Burning Man is only rivaled by his love for music. His styles go from deep tech, minimal and techno to indie dance. You can find him on the playa playing for his camp DeMentha, and everywhere else for The Janky Barge, Airpusher, and Icarus. Yaz has also participated in many fundraisers in San Francisco for the aforementioned camps, as well as DISTRIKT, Mayan Warrior, the Salty Jacks, and others.

I became disabled as a result of an accident diagnosed with post-traumatic encephalopathy (speech and walking are severely impaired, I suffer from increased tone - my muscles are constantly in tension). The treatment is very expensive, so I will be glad to receive every dollar from you.
