92Jelani (Jelani Yorker) is a Sonic Alchemist inspired by warehouse techno and electronic grooves. For over a decade, Jelani has been DJing electronic music in nightclubs and raves since he was a teenager growing up in DC. Fascinated by the transcendental qualities of sound, 92Jelani has submerged himself in the analog recording universe. His instrument of choice is his eurorack modular system to combine the past, present, and future through his music. Intuitively reactive during his performances, 92Jelani brings his experience DJing to the world of modular synthesis. Taking inspiration from the 2nd Wave of Detroit Techno, 92Jelani explores electronic music both sonically, philosophically and motivated by the pure delight in the freedom of dance.
