Hoy tenemos la suerte de lanzar una nueva sesión de una figura de referencia en la escena musical madrileña, y que ha sido, y es, un icono para nosotros. @alvarocabana nos graba esta sesión de influencias y selecciones, repleta de sonidos alternativos y experimentales con carácter noventero. Electrónica, post rock, neofolk , psicodelia entre otros.

Para quien no lo conozca, Álvaro es uno de los perfiles más importantes en el clubbing madrileño, con residencias en clubes como Coppelia, Rubble! o Mondo Disko. Sin aferrarse a un único género musical, en sus sets, llenos de energía heredada del House y el Techno, podemos encontrar influencias New Wave, EBM, sonidos exóticos del mundo, el lado más ‘Leftfield’ de la música disco, o reminiscencias post punk, todo ello aderezado con altas dosis de psicodelia, ritmos a baja combustión y siempre jugando con el factor sorpresa en la pista de baile consiguiendo lo que no todos consiguen, que tanto fanáticos como neófitos terminen disfrutando de su discurso musical.

Es también el dueño del conocido sello Rotten City Records, en el que acaba de publicar EP uno de los Honest Allies, Lebollet, así como figuras del clubbin tan importantes como Bawrut, Vox Low, Daniel Kyo, Roe Deers, Damon Jee, Cannibal Ink, Dj Rocca, y un sinfín de artistas nacionales e internacionales. 
Como productor, Álvaro siempre ha mostrado su gusto por la colaboración con diferentes artistas. Con Marcos In Dub formó el dúo Los López en 2012, lanzando algunos temas originales y remixes en sellos como Days Of Being Wild, Nein y Blindetonation.
En 2017 se embarca en una nueva aventura formando la banda D.Y.O.R. (junto con Ruben Kielmansegge y Christian C), actualmente es miembro de otro proyecto junto con el reconocido productor y DJ francés Damon Jee, uniendo fuerzas para crear Holographic Planes, un proyecto con el cual han remezclado a Vox Low y Cabaret Nocturne además de lanzar un EP en Critical Monday (remezclado por Jennifer Cardini) y otro tema original en 12" en el sello de Curses, Ombra International.

Today we are lucky enough to launch a new session by a leading figure in the Madrid music scene, who has been, and still is, an icon for us. Alvaro Cabana records this session of influences and selections, full of alternative and experimental sounds with a 90's character. Electronic, post rock, neofolk, psychedelia among others.

For those who don't know him, Álvaro is one of the most important figures in Madrid clubbing, with residencies in clubs like Coppelia, Rubble! or Mondo Disko. Without sticking in a single musical genre, in his sets, full of energy inherited from House and Techno, we can find New Wave influences, EBM, exotic sounds of the world, the more 'Leftfield' side of disco, or post punk reminiscences, everything seasoned with high doses of psychedelia, low combustion rhythms.

He is also the owner of the well-known label Rotten City Records, on which one of the Honest Allies, Lebollet, has just released an EP, as well as clubbin figures as important as Bawrut, Vox Low, Daniel Kyo, Roe Deers, Damon Jee, Cannibal Ink, Dj Rocca, and an endless number of national and international artists.
As a producer, Álvaro has always liked collaborating with different artists. He formed the duo Los López with Marcos In Dub in 2012, releasing some original tracks and remixes on labels such as Days Of Being Wild, Nein and Blindetonation.
In 2017 he embarks on a new adventure, forming the band D.Y.O.R. (together with Ruben Kielmansegge and Christian C).
