With this mix/selection, I’ve tried to capture in 90 minutes what you might experience at any given festival of your choice. Obviously all festivals are very different but I hope
it can at least take you on an eclectic genre hoping trip for an hour and a half or so.
Chilling, waiting for friends, sat outside a tent which gently wafts spacey dub our way. Caught in the wind, sun beating down, not a care in the world.
Dub progresses into something more experimental. Toes tapping, heads nodding, sun still beating down and time a thing we left behind.
The avant garde spaced out psychedelia gives way to something more soulful, laid back yet uplifting and still, the sun is with us all the way.
Limbs loose, toes twitching. Shuffling round to some tribal afro rhythms. Getting there now. Smiling faces, warm larger, uneven ground. Glad we brought our boots.....and of course our shades too.
Tea time. Best get some food. Fuel for the night ahead. Sit on a hill, eating whist watching a band play covers. Comical lyrics about taking drugs. Who’s got what and when do we start ? Now we start to care.
Changed, refreshed and out for the night. Glammed up with walking boots. Disco balls, shiny tops, bodies swaying, faces smiling.
Things getting serious. No more sun. Lazar beams, deep bass, hugs, here comes the drop, arms in the air......yes we’re finally there !!!!
Back at the tent. Fire, waffle, gibberish, chilled tunes from outta space. Empty cans, embers, a chorus of snores. Daylight creeps upon us, mist rises from the fields. One more spliff then call it a night.
Tomorrow we go again !!!
