SITARSONIC is a fusion project of Electronica, Mantra & live Sitar by Paco Rodriguez (FR). 
Paco started learning sitar in 1994 in Varanasi (India), the same year he was initiated to the sacred mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” by his Tantric yoga teacher, and never stopped practicing since. He passed two years in the Himalayas with the Naga Babas of the Das Nami family, and lived 9 years in a Buddhist commune in the French Pyrennees. He first visited Goa in 1993, and has been living there on and off since.

SITARSONIC enjoys a close relationship with the Psychedelic Trance movement. He twice played Ozora Fest (Hungry 2015/2022), and his opening performances at Atman Fest (Portugal 2023), Parvati Stage in Free Earth Fest (Greece 2019) and Harmonic Fest (France 2015) have been hailed as memorable magic experiences. His collaborations with major artists of the scene such as Electric Universe, Dark Elf, Volcano on Mars and Kaya Project have brought the mystic sound of his sitar to dance floors all over the planet.

In 2022 SITARSONIC released his 9th self-produced album “Downloading The Coconuts”, on the French label WP Satellite. It’s an instrumental project of 6 long tracks which explores diverse horizons of Electronica, Ambient, Dub or Chill out, featuring another collaboration with Electric Universe, “Dub Stanza”, previously released on Sacred Technology.

Paco also leads KIrtan sessions and provides Soundscaping with his sitar in retreats and yoga centers in India and Europe.
His side project, the psychedelic band Kundalini Airport became a legend in Goa with their famous Cosmic Jam, and is still very active...20 years now!
 
Performing psychedelic Electronica everywhere from cafés to festivals, SITARSONIC is currently based between Anjuna (Goa, India) and Matala (Crete, Greece).

Music has guided the life of German-born producer and artist RANCU since he began his journey at age 7. He has played in many bands, written numerous musical pieces, and performed and DJed across Europe and Africa. Starting with songwriting on the guitar, he used groove boxes in the early 2000s to produce German Hip Hop and Rap. By 2009, he transitioned to digital production with NI Maschine. Influenced heavily by Dance music, RANCU has been DJing since 2007, starting with Traktor software and later moving to CDJs and Rekordbox. He is an instrumentalist (guitar and percussion), vocalist, and digital producer.
