Anti-Venöm is a one man band based in Mexico City formed in 2009, influenced by several styles of music such as ska, reggae, hardcore, punk rock, pop, grindcore, techno, crust, rap, trash, hip hop and more. The lyrics range from political, anti-racism, tolerance, economic issues, drugs, alcohol, violence, consume, sex, satirical themes, religion, anti-homophobe, human rights and personal issues. 

I am hip hop. Not really, I just heard that from some black guy or something. I'm more of a Star Wars guru. I play DnD and it's better than you kids these days what with your video games...I am a passionate writer and I'm not afraid to look lame. There's no way I could successfully convince anyone that I'm cool enough to be a rapper, so I stick to honesty. I don't have a Cadillac, I don't call women bitches (nor are they all up on me), my chain is ill but it's made of hemp, I am excited by learning, I read a lot, I once tried to make it rain but I only had change so it was more like hail and it wasn't pleasant for anyone, I'm broke all the time, and I'm not hood.I don't like making beats and I'm not good at it, so if you make one for me I'll do my best to fairly compensate you and I will credit you for it (and love you).I haven't yet recorded my favorite songs because they deserve beats that I'm unable to produce.

In an age where record labels are folding up right and left, one after another on a daily basis, Farmageddon Records was born. It started in 2009 when three good friends unknowingly would be recording the first album in the Farmageddon Records catalogue, Jayke Orvis "It's All Been Said" Darren D, owner of Farmageddon Records, and friend Johnny Lawless took a road trip to Pittsburgh to visit Jayke Orvis, after a night of hanging out, Darren approached Jayke about recording a solo album. At that point in time, Jayke had just parted ways with The .357 String Band, and had also joined forces with the Goddamn Gallows. Darren had faith in Jayke though, he knew that he was sitting on a pile of great songs that might have just wound up in a shoebox in a closet somewhere if something wasn't initiated.

Jayke was interested in the project and the idea of a solo album, but was concerned about how this was going to even happen, money and self esteem were low at that time. Darren and Johnny were sitting on a little bit of money, and chose to fund the recording of this album. A few phone calls were made to a few friends, and in a matter of two weeks Jayke Orvis was in Rebel Roots Studio in Richmond Virginia a few weeks later to begin the recording process. It took about 3 months to get all of the recordings done, and when it was done it wasn't the end of a recording, it was the birth of a new record label, Farmageddon Records.

Since then, the label has rapidly become popular among the Roots Music Underground, but has also started to leak into the mainstream a little, this music has soul, a lot more than what people are hearing on FM Radio these days, it's the real deal, real music. The great thing about the label is that it is more of a co-op than a label, people working together to make it happen, it is the most non-traditional record label in history, it's more of a family than anything, a real dysfunctional family, it's why people can relate to it so well. The label, by no means is getting rich, monetarily speaking, but it is rich in family and love, people fight like brother and sister.

Since it's conception, the roster has changed many times, but the core group is still there, and the label continues to grow, including the addition of the now annual Farmageddon Records Music Festival. The future is looking bright for the label, and all of the talent under it's umbrella, stay tuned!

Folk punk from TX, we wrote and recorded this album while traveling the US and living from backpacks off of the money we made busking with home made instruments at gas stations and street corners.   We don't use anything electric, we're loud as hell so this includes microphones.  We do everything for free if it's possible.  If you can't pay to get into a show and we can't sneak you in, we play outside in the parking lot instead.  We give away free CDs, patches, shirts etc.  While finishing up our album Pickin' On The State we ended up breaking up the band and it was never released.  I'm pretty sure all evidence is lost in oblivion, but I remember the songs...mostly.  They get played live from time to time.
