Debugging the software live.

This is a recording of an audio performance of my original music made with live-coding in Tidal Cycles.  I played the set on April 8th, 2023, in a warehouse called Persona in Dumbo in Brooklyn, NYC, alongside many other fantastic code artists based in NYC, SF, and Pittsburgh.

As with my other live-code sets, every note and beat is made with code, with the exception of the transition song in the middle of my set, which i produced offline and played to kill time while my collection of 48 virtual synthesizers booted up for the second half of my performance.

All music was performed, produced, mixed, and mastered by R Tyler.

This show also featured Viola He aka Sandpills on live-visuals, who used 3D audioreactive and audience-interactive graphics in Touchdesigner.  We performed side-by-side for our 40 minute set to a crowd of about 400 people.

Kameliia's hypnotic and atmospheric music has appeared on the likes of Overbalance and Unterwegs, where she has previously flexed her sophisticated take on sound design and heady soundscapes with driving and physical grooves. Decoder recently started his new Toca label with Jay York and has previously appeared on labels like Subsist, Float and Jeff Mills' legendary Axis.
