One of our newest and most raucous signings, Fist City are one of the only bands Transgressive have signed without having seen them live, or indeed ever meeting them in person.  Their music made such an impact on us that we snapped them up almost immediately.  Thankfully when they came to the UK to support the re-release of their debut album ‘It’s 1983, Grow Up!’ they turned out to be an unbelievable tour de force live, as well as really lovely people to boot.

A four piece from Alberta, Canada, Fist City bring their cover of Devo’s classic ‘Uncontrollable Urge’ to the table for our 10th Anniversary giveaway.  With twins Kier and Brittany Fist on vocals, Evan van Reekum shredding it on guitar and drummer Ryan Grieve performing some unbelievable feats on the kit, it brilliantly showcases why we jumped at the chance to share this incredible band with the world.

Fragile is the fourth studio album from the English progressive rock band Yes, released on Atlantic Records. It is the first to feature keyboardist Rick Wakeman, who replaced Tony Kaye in 1971, and the first to feature cover art by Roger Dean, who would design many of the band's records.&#13;

Upon its release in the UK in November 1971, Fragile hit number 7 on the UK Album Chart, which would prove its highest position there.[1] It later reached number 4 on the US Billboard 200[2] during a stay of 46 weeks. Its release in the United States was held back for two months because of the chart momentum of their previous record, The Yes Album.&#13;

Pioneers of progressive rock, YES have achieved worldwide success with a history spanning 50 years and 22 studio albums. The band is known for its expansive songs, esoteric lyrics, elaborate album art and live stage sets.

The band’s current line-up consists of guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Geoff Downes, singer Jon Davison and bassist Billy Sherwood.
