Amongst the ever-evolving waves of incoming talent in the North-Eastern US circuit, Undehfined has made quick gains in his compositional and production strides. He’s been hop-scotching across styles and tempos, and is quickly zeroing in on his lane of choice, bringing a tight hand of halftime synthesis and mean bass lines to the table. With the forthcoming release of his Anticipate EP right around the corner, The Rust is excited to host the premiere of its final track, “Trip Report (ft. Blue Carl)”.

Fixing the mood somewhere between curious and confident, “Trip Report” moves with a salacious neuro-hop saunter. The two producers manage to strike the pocket between swung percussive grooves and loquacious glitches in constant conversation. The lean melody leads the track while its slathered low end follows in toe, giving each element in the mix clear bandwidth and extra sharp action. Wielding an obvious bevy of dance floor arrangements with the same potent potentiality as his contemporaries, Undehfined has an obvious bent towards manning the helm of a solid sound system, and if “Trip Report” is any indication, the Anticipate EP will practically require the power of proper sound.

This week MalLabel Music is bringing you yet another full spectrum Bass Music release with an incredibly diverse EP by Rhode Island's, Levitation Jones

Stretching his unique form of mercurial and introspective Bass Music across the Eastern US, Levitation Jones has been bending hearts and minds with his ever evolving creativity and style. He often takes weirdo bass to a whole new level of eccentricity with soundscapes straight out of a sci-fi movie riding that bass before coming back and hitting you with the feels. This diversity of emotion and grime has brought him to melt audiences at over 40 shows a year and this latest EP might be the most perfect example of how his innovative visions come into the artistic light. 

Transgentleman is an appropriate name for an EP that takes us through so many phases of evolution across it's six pieces and even within some of them on their own. The title track gets weird immediately with some tripped out atmospherics and glitchy IDM noise generators before hitting you with a fat wall of bass to kick it off as 'Larry' continues the trip into a land of mischievous creatures and grime. 'Robot Butterfly' chills it out on a ride through the land of sprites and digitalis before 'New Kid' takes a mean interlude to an old school Dubstep vibe. 'See' is a beautiful experiment in IDM reminiscent of the great Aphex Twin while 'Moon Man' carries the vibe home in this epic Vaporbass finale. With so much to get down to in so many ways on this EP, all your crates with thank you for the love.

Snap Season - Part 1 - "Ramona Flowers"

Once upon a time, Karlos and I went to a flower field because we had a lot on our minds. We opened up to each other about our first times being in love and the beautiful/scary things that can come with love. We also talked about our passions and what we want to do with our lives. As I was sitting on a huge flower, it started to glow with this mysterious green energy. Then it happened... BOOM! We experienced a shift to a black and white planet. We could see that we stumbled upon a magical place that seems to be powered by this green energy. We weren’t scared because we felt absolute freedom and love in our hearts. This was our first time visiting the planet. We were just boolin and enjoying the planet, getting to know it. Karlos found a way to fly around on a butterfly... we both were like “What is going ON RIGHT NOW?!” Eventually I wanted to see if I could go back to Earth to tell my friends, so I tried sitting on the same flower to see what would happen...
