I suffered from beat phobia in the previous work, but this time I used both rhythm and bass. While listening to the chords side by side, two vocal chips are accidentally entwined and completed. A lonely man and woman talking secretly without any reservations. It's like that. Actually, this is the first time I've felt something in "self-composed".

Autumn in Japan is about 50 days, and no day has the same temperature. The wind you feel on your skin changes every day. And it's time to harvest a lot of food.
The Jomon people who lived at the foot of Mt. Yatsugatake in Nagano Prefecture from about 6000 years ago to 4000 years ago (early to mid Jomon period) made "Dogu" and buried them in the soil instead of decorating and worshiping them. Maybe I wanted to deepen the connection between the soil and ourselves. It is explained that the two clay figurines have a pregnant woman as a motif and that an elderly woman is a model. She was named "Jomon Venus" on the right and "Masked Goddess" on the left. It was excavated in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture. (The photo is a tourist poster of the city)

6 bars of a cappella followed by 2 bars of saxophone solo. This is the only work that was completed and later stretched back and forth with drums, bass, synths, and so on. I think that there is nothing that appeals to the finished work just by struggling to complete it if I make it like this. I think I couldn't come up with any ideas other than making it this way. When I listen to the songs of the artists who follow me on SoundCloud, I get more and more locked up in my shell.
Is it okay to compose music in a genre where the degree of freedom is much more guaranteed than pop music? It was completed while hesitating. Hmm.

Because I saw a movie, it's like movie music → Simple myself (work 166)

I watched a Hollywood movie at midnight on Saturday. That is "Ad Atlas". When I lost interest in the story, I started to worry about movie music in the second half. Somehow, electronic music that seems to have been heard. When I looked it up, Max Richter wrote it.
I listened to his "The Four Seasons (Deluxe Version)" a lot, so I realized that it wasn't common movie music.
So, I threw a cinematic sound source into my own work and completed it. I managed to get it done with Bitwig Studio presets.

I was able to make most of the parts as I wanted compared to the previous works. But only the bass track is still a beginner's sound and volume. I can't put a bass in my work. When I put in the bass sound, the song seems to break. This song is complete. My hope is to complete my music without joining any genre of electronic music. And it was my destiny that I couldn't freely play the bass track.

My desire to create a work conflicts with the feeling that "I should throw away the form and be free", so I can't form a complete picture of my songs. 
 At least I can't express the theme unless I am under the illusion that I am a genius.

I photographed the products displayed in front of the pet shop. When I checked it with a handy phone, everything including surrounding buildings and cars was reflected in the photo. But this photo inspired me to write a song.
 "So that all kinds of music can get into the song." And everything is flat and parts. There is no claimed motif.
  I get dizzy when I listen to it. But I want you to listen.

I think this song needs no explanation. Every song is about time to enjoy the sound, and the sound to enjoy the song. And late night play to dance.

I love making electro music. The melody of wind instruments evokes images of love. 
　I sometimes get navel-curved.
 Even though it's love music, I want it to have a harsh and cold image at the same time.
　Is it better to use metal sounds for the ratio of noise parts and percussion instruments? Even after the songs are completed, 
　I'm still thinking about how to choose them.

Well this one is different . I asked Andrea to send me some mythical lyrics , which she did , and I put a basic idea for a song together . When I sent it to Axel to have a play about with it he completely transformed it into what it is  now . With his instrumentation and production , and Andreas fantastic and inspired lyrics , this is ( hopefully ) a joy to listen to , enjoy ! Next up on the 1st of November is a moody blues/rock song by Dave Cooper and myself , closely followed by 2 songs by myself . Me and Dave , and me and Gaz have just completed songs yet to have a release date , and me and Charlotte are half way through a new one . Thank you so much for listening .

This song began with David, who wrote it on the guitar, synth, and bass over a programmed beat he created. He and Josh met more than two months ago and decided to do a collaboration, based on mutual enjoyment of and respect for each other's music. Dave had this song pretty much fleshed out, although it was still a skeleton when he offered it to Josh, who, of course, got the rest of the Eclectic Collective involved. 

Dave asked us all to compose our own parts for the song, so we all got to work right away doing that. We all realized that the first order of business would be to get a real beat on this, so Ken accomplished that task with some dynamic, Eastern inspired drums and percussion, which he plays throughout the song. JJ then stepped in and added his best eastern flute magic. Stephen was next with the perfect-vibe sitar you hear in the first two sections. 

Josh came next to add his five-string fretless bass to the mix, augmenting David's high, staccato bass with his deep, low tone bass. Then, for the third section, where David's Gilmore-esque guitar solo resides, Josh drops out, allowing for Dave's awesome bass playing in that section. However, Josh does come in again towards the end, in the final section, too. Also, in that section, Tez dropped an augmented, harmonic, electric fire, complementary guitar part. Then, David's frequent collaborator and friend Ron added some well blended, ethereal synth to the first section, too.

Once we had the instrumental parts pretty much laid down, we began to discuss getting a woman to sing on this, as David was inspired by The Great Gig in the Sky, by Pink Floyd, and we all agreed. Who we found to do it actually blew all of our minds. JJ, being familiar with her music, contacted Elpi first, and we were all lucky enough that she agreed to do it. Having heard Mediterranean music all her life in Greece, she tapped into what her husband said were her "ancient Greek roots" for her spectacular vocal performance. She finds all the modal notes and places them perfectly throughout her sections. 

But before we were done, Mark came through with some really striking talking drum parts in the first two sections, too. Once we had everything in the can, David took over, both with some masterful editing and production, and with the balanced, dynamic mix. The mix was a formidable task, but he did it with considerable skill, also taking everyone's opinions into account, which is a talent in and of itself. When he was done with the mix, he turned it over to Stephen for the mastering, which the latter did to everyone's satisfaction, as always.

This is the first song the Eclectic Collective has done with David, Elpi, and Ron, and we all hope it's the first of many, as we welcome them into the EC family. They all have some wonderful music on their pages, too, so do yourself a favor and check out all of them, as well. We hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This song is a major adaptation of the concept of the previous song. In electronic music, the way this song uses sound is mainstream. However, my aim is to express an individual soul. Since the sound is a collection of images, it is instead concentrated into one image. I feel an irony. Also, I couldn't create a bass phrase.

Having grown up with the songs of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and other soul greats, and more recently been impressed by the songwriting of artists like Tom Misch and Mac Ayers, I’ve wanted for a while to add an R&B feel to a some of my tracks. 
I’ve tried a few times over the years, and found that blending a strong groove with my usual acoustic, singer-songwriter type stuff didn’t really work. 
I still wanted the songs to sound like my songs :)
This is the first time I’ve finished a track, in that style, that I’m confident enough to put out there.

This song started as a basic, yet melodically very strong composition by Terry involving him playing a synthesizer over a beat he created. He first shared it with Stephen, as they are regular collaborators in their project, Texas Tea, which are worth checking out on both of their pages, as well. Stephen then turned it over the the Eclectic Collective to work our magic on it.
  Josh was first up to the plate with this one, adding his deep, five string fretless bass to Terry's rudimentary beat. Ken was next up, however, adding the driving drum beat you hear, for which he used Terry's beat as a template and augmented a full kit sound to it. Stephen followed Ken, adding his striking wah guitar part to the whole thing. Tez was up soon after with his searing guitar soloing towards the end. Last, but certainly not least, JJ added the soulful electric piano you hear giving it a funk throughout, as well as the tambourine and the cool triange dings. 
  Now that it was in the bag, we decided to ask Stephen to produce and mix it for us, which he did in his typical expert fashion, as well as the doing the mastering, too.
  This is our holiday offering to all our fans, friends, colleagues, and peers. While it's not particularly a holiday song, it's a good display of where we are musically, and shows some of the flavor we want to add in the new year. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it. Happy holidays to you, and many happy returns!

From 2005 to 2022, over 100,000 child soldiers have been recruited worldwide, as estimated by UNICEF. 
A number that reveals the size of a serious and urgent problem, especially in some countries in Asia and Africa. War, in fact, is a source of enormous suffering for children, both physical and psychological, I believe that this song of mine can represent a small contribution to not forgetting this.

I love cinema and some of my favorite directors include David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino and the Coen Brothers. I am often influenced by their films and when writing my own songs I am inspired by the atmosphere and surreal vision of the world in their films…

clear new year

I'll finish E-Ruizzo project with a conceptual LP album: 4 songs about 'Arctica Point'. I imagined it amid rotation axis, geographic north and magnetic pole, and I located it on dry land !! Then I draw the cover art.

This opening track tells the decision of leaving this annoying present by travelling to that magical place. The following ones tell the trip and life there.
