How fun it is to play an instrument! Repeating the same phrase over and over is like a child's game. I'm a grown-up, so I try to make a different phrase, but I get attached to the phrase I've played many times, so I can't change it well. Maybe I should play using chord tones like bebop. I hate practicing, so it's impossible for me.

You And The City

August 2025 Currently on residency in Italy ! 
These are 3 short sketches using field recordings captured around Montegiovi, Tuscany. With these little works I am experimenting freely with what can be produced from each days sounds -  manipulating them and stiching them back together with the aim of producing a long format work at the end of the residency. 
I am truly thankful for this opportunity that has been provided for me by the Salamanca Arts Centre in Tasmania and Cultivate Projects/La Baldi residency in Italy and The USA. 
And of course the wonderful people of Montegiovi !
