My Sleeping Lover, How Would You Have Me Wake You?

This is a song that started with Ian (IPG1 aka Lou) and his amazing vocal stem, of which I really identify with the lyrics. He has a plethora of vocal stems, so if you're interested in making a hip hop song, you did hit him up. He shared this psychiatrist l particular one with Tez (Llanpsych), who put a beat and guitar on it. Tez then sent it to me, and I added the bass and the synth. Then Tez put the solo part in there along with the effects. he mixed and produced it, and an excellent job he always does, too. This is my first foray into making hip hop, though I've listened to plenty. Hopefully there will be more to come.

Lately I've been working on a little science project in an attempt to imbue human-like consciousness into inanimate objects, such as musical instruments. So far, the results have been rather horrific.

Synthetic Sentience

The ancient metropolis of Istanbul probably derives its name from the Greek 'Stin Polis' ('in the city')(according to Sean Lusk's excellent book 'The Second Sight of Zachary Cloudesly)having previously been Constantinople the capital of the Byzantine Empire.
This incredible city spans the continents of Europe and Asia and reflects aspects of both in its culture and people.

Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Žizek said when referring to the COVID-19 pandemic, "We have stopped production, the ultimate focus of capitalism."
Humanity has learned from experience that national systems, dictatorships, and populism are useless every time an unknown virus emerges. .
This song was completed with the sound source of the live voice and side guitar from my friend Xian3. His beautiful voice is art, a powerful weapon for humanity to have hope.
Art, that is, the countdown in the song is as strong as the secrets taught by the main character in "Kill Bill Volume 2" directed by Quentin Jerome Tarantino from his kung fu master "Pai Mei"

A tribute to one of my closest friends Andy who passed last year from cancer. He left two beautiful daughters and his wonderful wife behind. 
Also a long lasting effect on me and I never got to tell him he really was one of my kings.
This is a raw live recording because that’s seems  more relevant to him coming from a punk background. 
I worked, socialised and shared some unbelievable memorable moments with Andy stretching over a 30 year period.
He was an original punk rocker in his younger days and played as a drummer in many different punk bands. Carried the tattoos of punk and that period carried him through the rest of his life. Very knowledgeable about music and cultures. 
He always got up behind the kit and blasted out at our soundchecks and when we were breaking down after the gig, he just couldn’t help himself. Always supported live new music and my band projects. 
Andy was one of the Co founders with me of underground music magazine Blag. Known as Andypunkrock to the readers.
I will never forget him and think about him everyday.
You don’t realise until certain people leave you how much it affects you. 
RIP Andy you were One Of My Kings.
