Next up on our presenting series, we present to you an up and coming producer from Cape Town, South Africa who has been showing his immense passion for psychedelic music through his own record label as well as his produced music. Mike has been an influencing force in the growing psychedelic community in South Africa and we are so stoked to present his very first live mix to you all. Tune in, tune out and enjoy the ride!

A Dungeon Master's purpose is to guide the adventurer on great and mind-bending journeys, and so in that spirit this Dungeon Master will attempt to convey the happenings of grand and bizarre cosmic events taking place on the dancefloor through the sonic pallet of Twilight, Forest, Hi-Forest and Hi-Tech.

Welcome to the 9th episode of the PsynOpticz Psychedelic Podcast!  In this highly anticipated installment, we are delighted to showcase the exceptionally talented Dj HO-C from the land of the rising sun, Japan!

HO-C brings a wealth of experience to the table. Having been part of the staff at the iconic "Studio Cube 326," a hallowed ground for trance enthusiasts, HO-C's journey began. In 2013, this journey led to an underground DJ career that took flight. With regular appearances at Tokyo's vibrant Trance Parties in Shibuya and Shinjuku, HO-C's prowess as a DJ flourished. Notably affiliated with the Party Crew "Wing Makers," active in the Kanto region, HO-C's involvement ignited diverse Party scenes. The dedication to sound is evident in the ownership of a sound system since 2015, enhancing the auditory experience. Since 2018, HO-C's sonic expedition extends to PsynOpticz Records, a force in South Africa's music landscape, resonating in Japan and beyond.

Meet Anthony Lee, a 23-year-old visionary behind the night psy project called Blether. Back in 2018, he dove headfirst into the captivating world of Cape Town's psychedelic culture, and it didn't take long for him to become enamored with it. Fuelled by his love for the scene, Anthony decided to channel his passion into the studio, where he could bring his musical ideas to life. As time went on, Anthony found himself increasingly drawn to the allure of the night time sound. It was within these dark, nocturnal soundscapes that he discovered a creative sanctuary, free from the constraints of traditional musical structures. When you listen to Blether's music, you'll notice a distinctive focus on the glitchy and digital aspects of classic night psy. Anthony's sound design is meticulous, crafting intricate and stimulating sonic experiences that captivate listeners. His tracks are fueled by an abundance of energy, driven by mind-bending basslines that dance and twist with a touch of lunacy. As the layers of sound intertwine, chaos and order collide, creating a sonorous journey that pushes the boundaries of imagination.

GU a.k.a Takumi Yamaguchi’s new album ‘Reality is a Hallucination’ will be released @ Insomnia Records on 4th April 2016. In addition to his album presentation mix, you can also read an interview with him in The Ozorian Prophet.

Psychedelic trance producer Gu a.k.a Takumi Yamaguchi was a born in Japan. 
In 2004 he wondered onto the Indian sub-continent, and stumbled into Goa, completely unaware that he was about to have his life changed. In Goa he had his first encounter with this thing know as Trance Music.
After dancing at a couple of parties he decided to become a DJ.
He is heavily influenced by  sound by all  psychedelic music in the world.
In 2006, with the aid of DAW he wanted to create an  original sound, whe started to produce his own music. Dark sounds with groovy bass lines being his signature.

Dj Mikel, from Italy, began his career behind the decks in year 2000, when he started playing music at techno-trance parties. Around same time he discovered his passion for mystical Indian atmospheres and for the psychedelic world.
After 4 years spent playing at psytrance parties, in 2004 together with Dj Govinda, he founded the Believe tribe: a cultural association that uses music as an instrument of communication, not only related to fun.
Today the Believe crew, based in the middle/east part of Italy, is responsable for high quality parties and events: for example the 7 Chakras parties and the Blackmoon Festival.
as Dj, Mikel has a very particular sound, transcendental and hypnotic. A deep music research that end in hours of pure musical delirium, showing a unique personal choice in order to create a place out of time and space. A perfect duo between mind and body. Don’t wait for him to come, follow him on the next show!

LOWKO WRONG UNIVERSE EP MIX

The Ying Yang Monks project was born in 2010 after Curro and Jorge (aka Dj Chimbo and AcidBox) worked in the organization of psychedelic gatherings (Fullmoongui) and decided to join forces to create a musical project that would allow them to create their own sounds based on the musical style they both passionate about: the Morning Psychedelic Trance. That same year, after editing several tracks in Psylove and BMSS Records, they become part of the roast of the newborn label Maharetta Records where they will present their first EP "Alice" and define their personal acid style, with small touches to Goa, balancing the atmospheric parts with the energetic ones, creating their own Yin Yang sound. From then onwards, they began to publish on labels such as Antu Records, Mosaico, Free Spirit or Zero Gravity among others and that will serve as a bridge for them to perform in gatherings and festivals both inside and outside Spain.
