Marcel Butz as DJ E.F.E.X. from Erfurt/Thuringia started his career as a DJ in 1998. Initially with 2 cheap Technics replicas, a small mixer and a handful of wildly mixed-up plates. At first he only played on a smaller scale at birthday parties and small self-organized celebrations. His style and sound solidified and it was during this time that he discovered his passion for DJing and his preference for the harder techno sound. Marcel has played with many great artists including Glenn Wilson, Thomas P. Heckmann, WJ Henze, Asem Shama, Vanguard, DJ Rush, Pascal Feos, TokTok, Frank Kvitta, Sven Wittekind, Bold, Pet Duo, Emerson and many more...
From 2009 to today he is an integral part and resident DJ of the Connectionz & Re:Connectionz Crew from Erfurt!

3AM - is my weekly playtime during my residency at OXA Beach. 3AM marks the moment when those who came for entertainment begin to leave, and the ones who came for the music choose to stay. 3AM is the time when I can let myself go and play whatever I feel like.

This set was recorded on Wednesday, October 04, 2023. I was playing from 3AM to 4:30AM. I started with some bouncy Tech House and switched to Indie Dance inbetween to lighten it up a bit. Continued with more dark Indie towards the end. Enjoy the result!
