Although families have invited me to spend the main holiday time with them... because everyone in my family is dead... I like to spend all "family" holidays... with the Spirits of my family. - I never feel... "alone". There is always "something"... that seems to keep me company. I am never alone.

Sad story of many people's lives. 
Example: At kindergarten I was eventually taken to the police station by concerned people living in the area, and they contacted my home, to have me collected. In his "busy" schedule, my unfaithful, womanising "father" (Ingi) had forgotten to pick me up.
For junior prom the father of the girl (Anna Maria) I was supposed to go with was drunk, and her mother was at work at a factory... meanwhile my family (including Ingi, who was a part-time newspaper  photographer) all waited to take our picture before we would go... and no one answered the phone at their place. It was a time before cellphones. I don't drink alcohol, so, have no reason to go to "bars"... The office staff (at Coca Cola) who had started going to some other bar, forgot to share they had started going to a new place. 
The girl at the church got the pre-wedding jitters... then cold feet, then never showed up. I decided I would never marry, after that. In her case, it was too much commitment for her liking. The person making the cards got the post funeral wake drink place right... but not the church. There are also 2 "chapels" at the same church (Fossvogskirkja), but hardly anyone goes to the small one behind the big one. Its for smaller services. These things happen.

In the middle of a cold winter darkness, in an empty apartment, I sat down to record thoughts inspired by the concept of "absent friends"... Friends who had "passed" and were now on the "other side"... Not WITH me (us)... and the song took me to "this is where it ends"... At which point... "Someone" / "SOMETHING" from the OTHER SIDE reached over... and TOUCHED ME. Possibly objecting that "this is NOT where it ends". -- OF COURSE, at first, I was SHOCKED!!! Feeling a COLD HAND touch MY hand, on the guitar... BUT... I HAD to be STRONG... I could not make the spirit (absent friend) think I was SCARED of it, or repulsed... when it might have been just a FREINDLY gesture! ... but, then... TO TEST IT... I REPEATED the words, that inspired them to reach over... ??? in case they did it again... and I could react more "pleasantly" to the touch... I know, I know. - Now that I was "PREPARED"... I would WELCOME them to do it again... ... ... but there was nothing. -- I was just so SHOCKED! Feeling a COLD touch, on my hand. *PHEW* ... but I was now READY, if they wanted to do it again... They did not. They were probably as shocked as I was, by my REACTION! !!! Its both sad... and mind blowing. *phew* True story. There exist more things than are dreamt of in our philosophy.
