Kia is an acclaimed Australian DJ & founder of the Animalia & Cirrus labels. A highly skilled selector and open-eared music digger, who is ever searching tirelessly for lost obscurities and hidden gems. On the dancefloor her sound spans bass heavy rhythms, IDM and the deeper shades of techno.

About the mix Kia said: “This mix is a big amalgamation of sets and moods I've been playing recently on my travels in Mexico, Colombia, the US & Canada, and some shades and new styles influenced by my time in Latin America & Detroit specifically. Like a travel diary in a mix :) ”

At Monument Festival 2022 Kia gifted us with the perfect afternoon set, laying down three hours of tightly woven hypnotic grooves. This year she will be closing out Friday night playing b2b with Polygonia. Not to be missed.

Zara is a rising Australian DJ, producer and label head, with a sound that traverses the polyrhythmic and psychedelic. Zara has releases on labels such as Animalia, Salt Mines, Pure Space and more. Peder Mannerfelt splits the difference between playful immediacy and daring experimentation. You’re as likely to find him premiering a live show at Berlin’s Atonal festival as pulling apart fabled techno meccas from Berghain to Fabric with synapse-frying precision. One minute he’s being asked to remix Björk, and the next he’s dropping EPs of non-conformist techno for Karenn’s Voam label.

As a prolific collaborator throughout his career, Mannerfelt has veered from the orchestral tension of Roll The Dice (with Malcolm Pardon) to the anything-goes maximalism of Aasthma (with Pär Grindvik). As a producer, he’s worked on every one of Fever Ray’s acclaimed albums and live shows, as well as projects from alt music heavyweights such as Smerz, Blonde Redhead and Glasser. His Peder Mannerfelt Produktions label has become another outlet for his singular approach, presenting his work alongside similarly experimental operators like Sissel Wincent, Machine Woman, Klara Lewis and Hodge.

More recently, his PM+ series celebrates the immediacy of club-focused tracks, and Mannerfelt thrives on the energy and community of contemporary club music. What makes him different is his response to that energy, as he pushes the music’s possibilities in wild, unpredictable directions.

Technology continues to improve the lives of producers, most significantly the marvel of file transfer and electronic chat. Thus now enters a production friendship which spans the great North American continent. From Vancouver comes DJ Hockey. This lithe and prodigious talent is among a close cohort of pure, renegade artists composing the PNW underground community. On any given weekend, he and others like Adam Two are hauling speakers, fast at work on a new PPRZ release, or performing around a lineup of other stalwart heroes like Juana, Lonefront, and Patrick Russell. 
Thus when listener and web browser, Associate, took notice of DJ Hockey's invigorating and stripped down techno. It only took a few listens before he began his usual direct messaging campaign of heaping praise. Associate resides in the USA capital on the east coast, Washington, DC. After a trip abroad he saw his only path forward to include production. He spent his life continuously immersed with electronic music from his erstwhile point of origin, the midwest, and after 40 or 50 plugin purchases and numerous lessons, he finally took to it. In one afternoon, he was able to remix a DJ Hockey banger and the split EP idea was born.

A very warm welcome to our long distant friend - Julio Araujo aka Dagga, joining us today for our fourth mix series. 

Originally from Venezuela, now based in Bogotá, Columbia - the DJ, producer and visual artist has been ticking all the right boxes, while making a pretty damn good name for himself. International Chrome regular and most recently released a raw 12 track LP with Steel City Dance Discs, along with unreleased material doing the endless rounds and highly supported by standout artists. Heavily influenced and triggered by electro, techno and old-school rave, mixing his skills with his authentic passion is only a recipe for success. Next year is set out to be his biggest year yet!

The don dada provided us with a two hour mix featuring some of his own material, stuff he has been digging lately and also some tracks from our compilation. Get loose!

Thomas Killmurray is an aspiring young artist from Ireland and a true force to be reckoned with. A weekly basis consists of dedicated studio time, while also powering through his timeless record collection. An acclaimed addition to Ireland’s most popular festivals and club lineups - sharing the stage with artists such as Sunil Sharpe, Anetha, Tommy Four Seven, Defekt and Rebekah, along with closing out Suicide Circus in Berlin. 

With a handful of standout releases, including one from our recent compilation, Thomas also has an impressive back catalogue and discography lined up - all of which to be released throughout the course of next year. Originally hailing from rural Northern Ireland, she’s been busy carving her niche in the world of house and techno since emerging from England’s north-west dance scene midway through the last decade. A frequent player for European institutions and one of the founding residents of Manchester station Limbo. With natural progression in her evolution which led to the birth of her own record label - Duality Trax, launched at the start of the year. Her commitment and humble demeanour remains central to her continued success, ensuring her name won’t be going anywhere any time soon.
