Dark days need a dark soundtrack. At least sometimes. ;) “The darker, the better” - Hailing from Grenoble (France) and active on various musical scenes those last four decades, TheTallMan started djing as a dilettante (and still is) in the early 90’s, delivering fierce sets blending New Beat, EBM and Electro-Industrial.
After a long hiatus went back behind the desks in the mid-2010’s offering his own interpretation of Indie Dance, mixbags of Dark Disco and Darksynth layered with cinematic (he’s a sucker for horror movies’ soundtracks) and psychedelic overtones, and a punkish approach to the mix: flaws are tolerated, abrupt transitions are more than welcome and perfection is nothing but an F-word.

French producer Jehan is next up on Blur Records with a new EP, TV Screen, that shows that he has a sophisticated approach when it comes to bending free jazz with electronic music and a love of hip-hop. The latter of those is evident in the title of the opener, '92 Till Infinity', which pairs lazy keys with lazier beats and soul drenched vocals. 'Montre Suisse' (feat Donnie Moustaki) has dusty beats that sound like they might fall over themselves topped with warm organ chords and 'You Win' (feat Scruscru & Meowsn) then brings a sweet and swaggering deep house vibe. The flip keeps the slow burning and late night feelings alive with a trio of loved up, well sampled, blissed out beats.

BIO
Marcelo Malta @mltx, known professionally as MLTX, is a DJ and music producer deeply rooted in a musical legacy. Inspired by his multi-instrumentalist father, he began his musical journey early on, mastering drumming and performing in hardcore, punk rock, and heavy metal bands. This formative experience instilled in him a profound appreciation for diverse rhythms and melodies.

In 2015, immersed in the sounds of renowned artists, he discovered a new musical direction. Encouraged by a friend during the pandemic, he embraced DJing, quickly establishing himself as a rising star.

His talent was acknowledged by the Colombian collective @elviaje, where he was invited to curate, providing a platform for other underground artists.

MLTX's unique sound, coined #fusiontechno, seamlessly blends techno, indie dance, and dark disco. His productions and DJ sets are characterized by energetic and captivating performances, driven by powerful, dark rhythms that reflect his drumming background.
