Founded by Denis Yurgens



Velmondo is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist producer and Barcelona based DJ Arnau Obiols. His debut EP 'Moongazing' appeared on Hivern Discs iin 2019 drawing inspiration from early forms of electronic music from the 70s, wether it is dub, krautrock, industrial, ambient, post-punk, to conjure enigmatic atmospheres through raw and primitive sounds.In January 2020 he released the EP 'Mad Honey' along the Swedish duo MLiR, on Prins Thomas' label Internasjonal, gaining support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Red Axes or Roman Flügel, amongst others. Distilling a unique approach to acid, trance and tribal influences, the esoteric techno single 'Infinity' arrived in June 2020 through Nitsa Traxx, including a remix by Marving & Guy on the flipside.
Velmondo also shares a project with John Talabot called Mioclono that debuted with the track 'Center of Things' in the Hivern Discs compilation 'Fragments'.

Welcome to My “syncretism” of Music  

Since Twelve Years, Mixing is my game! I love to challenge myself with unexpected transitions, New School with Old School, there are no limits.
I find magic in synchronising beats and how that sweet harmony can move people.
My style is a story, all music has a story, and my target is playing each of every groove until the party never stops.
My roots are deep within Afro Caribbean music (born and raised in the Martinique – the West Indies).
My purpose is a precise representation of any groove from Afro music: Africa, India, North / South America, Europe, Middle East and the West Indies… 
The Afro music has been the concrete of so much music and genres of groove during centuries: Classic, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Disco, House, Break Beat … and Electronic / Techno!!! 
As Live DJ, engaged in Afro History, I have the duty to digging, to mixing, to playing and sharing to the world. 
Once upon a time…  In France I found what is to being a DJ, to move people until they can’t feel their body, to analyse what’s the crowd want and expect!
Then my cultural musical journey went for four years around: Amsterdam, UK (London, Nottingham) and Berlin Where I discovered this Groovy House, Disco / AfroBeat Jazz / Funky and we do not forgot this deep and heavy Electronic Groove / Techno With the Raving Culture.
As I’ve travelled my music journey has grown.
Today I’m professional Live DJ based in Amsterdam. I’m very proud and blessed to part of this Amsterdam music scene. Amsterdam has been in my heart forever; it’s a perfect combination of some many talents, art, expressions and grooves on one place. 
That’s why I settled in 2019 in Amsterdam, I have the pleasure and the honour to collaborate with some collective and working with some Night Club & Bar/Club
Since March 2022 I became one of the regular Live Performer DJ at Pllek Bar/Club… 
Well I’m still exploring. Every day is a new chapter to find new waves and sync new frequencies.
My sets are all totally live < I am addict from this adrenaline of producing and mixing on Live > this is my intellectual legacy. 
My Lives sets are a Journey between Space and Time wishes any Cultures and Times will be find on it.
I love to keep some mistakes because they are unique so you can feel the authenticity and truth of my flow....
