SELF COMPASSION 
I have chosen the this theme because many of us can be quite hard on ourselves sometimes, feeling stressed and inadequate. 
With Self Compassion we can learn to meet ourselves with care and understanding and become more confident. 
So this will be our focus for this Nidra. 
Yoga Nidra is the softest yoga style of all - but possibly one of the most powerful ones because you get to connect with yourself on a deeper level: beyond all those ideas – and illusions - of how it should be or what it should look like. This is a space where you don’t have to perform, you don’t have to do anything. Just receive the practice.

Note! Read the instructions below before you do the Nidra. 
It´s important that you understand the Gong is there for a reason: otherwise you´ll probably feel annoyed! :-) 

Do you sometimes find it hard to fall asleep? Does your mind feel busy? 

This Yoga Nidra includes a section called "Images of the day", in which you'll get guided into a practice of systemtically going through what you've been through during the day.  This helps the brain with structuring and digesting the impressions and memories: moving them into long term memories if they are important, and letting go of the things that are not important, so that the mind gets calmer and more relaxed. 

...and even though it's a Nidra for sleep - it's ok if you DON'T fall asleep. You'll still get a balancing and positive effect on your nervous system: calming and nurturing. 
You'll hear a bell 12 times. The bell is supposed to disturb you a bit, for two reasons: 
- To increase the in the liminal space (hypnagogia) for a time before falling into deep sleep. 
- So that you're not getting stuck in a memory - or drift off into other thoughts. Each time you hear it, it's time to change your focus into another memory. I'll guide you through the first rounds and then you'll contiue on your own.
After the 12:th time, there will be silence - for you to either fall asleep if that's what the body wants to do - or to drift into the fascinating liminal space of not fully awake, but not asleep: a place of very nurturing rest.
