About 13 years ago, while languishing in boredom from having a band on hiatus I stumbled on some VST software and a shiney new home PC.   Fueled by a bad case of insomnia, equipped only with curiosity and absolutely no knowledge of VST or production skill I put together about an album's worth of material.  These are some of the demos. 

Birdcage were a Brisbane/Sunshine Coast band that enjoyed a short, but hard played run from 1991 to 1993.    We thrived off the Fugazi straight edge DIY ethic playing show after show around the South East corner of Queensland earning ourselves a dedicated and respectable following. We played some pretty memorable shows and met a lot of unforgettable types along the way.  We recorded a tonne of songs, but our only release was a four track self titled EP that we put out on tape, mostly for ease of access, that kids could buy and folks could have in their car stereo.  We recorded a single for a Brisbane compilation Splurt in 1992.  The band imploded in early 1993 and we  went our separate ways.  Birdcage were, Chris, Mal, Adrian and Dan. Some of us are still playing in one form or another, some not.  Sadly, Chris passed away in 2005 and we miss him dearly.   Hope you like the tracks.
