Joe Ford returns to the family with a monstrous release on Caliber Music, via his 'Mission' EP. This 21 year old producer - who released his debut EP on Ammunition Recordings almost 2 years ago - has seen massive success over the last 12 months, quickly becoming one of the hottest names in Drum & Bass, Neurohop, Dubstep, and beyond. 

In his latest offering on Caliber, Joe Ford experiments with a range of vibes over five tracks on the EP. Kicking off with tunes like 'Mission' and 'Combine,' Ford continues to impress in whatever style he chooses to take on. Joe's close attention to detail and Neurofunk bassline mastery collide with tear-out breakbeat vibes to make a uniquely lethal combo. 

Taking things into more relaxed and lush territory over the next two, 'Moving On' and 'Majesty', showcase a more sentimental side to the producer... about as restrained as you'll hear from him. 

Joe Ford closes the release out with a big room dubstep floor smasher, 'Unsafe'. Like he so easily did with the Glitch-Hop format, Joe Ford brings his signature neuro vibe to Dubstep and Breaks. Welcome to Botany 101. Jamie Watts is breaking it down with the desert flora on his brand new album, Seven Succulents, dropping this coming Tuesday (Feb 18th). Some fans of KiloWatts might have learned of the brilliantly bold classical pianist and composer-turned-producer through his Invisible Allies project with Bluetech, but it's his collaborations over the years with fellow Philly fanatic Mike Greenfield of Lotus that mold the new release. That aesthetic carries over to "Gollum Fingers," the free download we're thrilled to be premiering today. The chill breaks sketch fills out more and more as the piece crescendos into an all out jam reminiscent of the post-rock outfit who calls the city of Brotherly Love home. In fact, fans of jam trying to find the right path into the world of electronica need look no further than Seven Succulents, bridging the gap with brotherhood.

This week our special guests on the Cadenza Source to Cycle are Monkey Safari, the German duo made up of brothers Lars and Sven.  Launching their label WhatWhat Records and their musical collaboration back in 2008, the pair have gone on to release their music on labels like Mambo, Jackmode and Monaberry. So, yes as you can tell, there has been a lot of Wolf + Lamb in our lives lately.Â  From their unstoppable afterhours parties at the famed Marcy Hotel, to their recent leap from digital-only to a vinyl imprint, to the success of their all-star roster (Lee Curtiss, Seth Troxler, Shaun Reeves, Nicholas Jaar, Le Loup, etc) it is safe to say that Wolf + Lamb are headed in the right direction.

For those that don’t know, Wolf + Lamb (aka Wuss + Lame) is the Brooklyn based tag team of Zev Eisenberg and Gadi Mizrahi.Â  These guys are more than just DJs/Producers.Â  Together their combined vision has brought to life an entire lifestyle brand which promotes underground culture, music, events, design, clothing, Frisbees, chocolates, a fake boutique hotel/afterhours paradise, burning man installations, Talmudic studies and so much more.

We’ve been after these guys for a podcast for a while now, so here we present a 60 min mix of almost all forthcoming releases on the Wolf + Lamb label.Â  Check out the track list and maybe you’ll recognize a track or two.Â  Rumor has it that they will be releasing bootlegs soon as well, BWAHAHHAHAHA :)

Look out for Wolf + Lamb’s upcoming release the “Brooklynn EP” (WLM003) due out on vinyl March 9th. Â Â  The EP is super-sick start to finish with vocalist Smirk (the dude that did Lee Curtiss remixed “Start A Fire” on Sexy Dancer EP) on another catchy number called “Therapist” and an instant top choice re-edit by Shaun Reeves with an R&B/80′s feel called “If You Had”.Â  Lastly, in case you’re wondering these are the songs that fuel Seth Troxlers Ibiza-Voice podcast from late January 2009, so eat it up.

Being invited to play on the bus after hearing everyone rave about it was certainly one of the most exciting news of the year.

Stepping up behind the decks following the Martinez Brothers was not such an obvious and easy task considering the differences in our respective “styles”. Nonetheless, all your smiles and dance moves whilst I was performing proved the RH crew had made that call for a particular reason.

Following such a positive experience playing on the bus, in the city, I can only imagine what it would be like in the middle of the desert.

Devotion to the artform, devotion to our friends, family, and lovers, devotion to what we want to achieve. Devotionals, in the religious sense, are a way for humans to get closer to God. While personally I'm not one to preach any religious dogma, I do believe there is a spiritual message is house music that we can all understand, and I tried to communicate that in this mix. The second installment of the listed Podcast comes from a pair of true professionals, <a href="http://www.soundcloud.com/m-a-n-d-y">Philipp Jung (M.A.N.D.Y.)</a> and <a href="http://soundcloud.com/deejaytea/">DJ T</a>.  Longtime conspirators, they co-founded the renowned <a href="http://soundcloud.com/get-physical-music/">Get Physical</a> imprint all the way back in 2002. Coupled with a steady schedule of gigs and productions, Philipp and Thomas have used the label as a platform to push a unique brand of upfront dance music across the world.

This mix, recorded live on <a href="http://www.listedproductions.com">listed Productions</a> and <a href="http://www.magneticgrooves.com/">Magnetic Grooves'</a> Sunday morning <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150790316043623.483525.10116133622&type=3">Ship of Fools</a> at WMC 2012 in Miami, reflects the nature of Get Physical. It is music that leaves you no choice but to be in touch with your body - feeling the gentle sway of the grooves and nodding your head to well-chosen hooks that are tasty and playful, but never obvious. Perfectly paced for a Sunday morning affair, the set went down soon after sunrise on a boat full of silly partiers too dedicated to sleep (or too tired to go home). With the ship steadily rocking and rolling across the waves, the dancers found themselves doing just the same, responding to the irresistible push and pull of a sophisticated but danceable sound that left everyone as energized as they were exhausted.

Things come to a poignant close with a dreamy edit, Amine Edge's mashup of Solomun's "He Is Watching You" with an all-time classic a-capella from Celeda, fitting for the home stretch of an amazing (and amazingly tiring) week in Miami - "if you feel that you can take no more, and your feet are headed for the door, gotta keep on dancin' ... groovin', keep on movin' ... music is the answer." This lovely message mixes into the beautiful restorative vibes of Pépé Bradock's "Deep Burnt" - a delicious and relaxing antidote, wrapping things up in a soft blanket of spring sunshine.
