he sixth vinyl release from Manjumasi is a proper dance floor offering from label co-founder atish, featuring two originals built around smoky samples that evoke the basement club vibes of yesteryear.

First up is He’s Gone with an irresistible vocal and a hooky groove. Second is title track Birdland with a warped sax sample carrying the track onwards. On the B-side are a pair of groove-forward remixes of Birdland.

Steve O’Sullivan offers up a dubby minimal interpretation that takes the tune’s elements in a more hypnotic direction.

Zone+ explores a floatier melodic realm, letting the saxophone waft above a bouncy rubber bassline.

Having connected musically with Mikael (Kora) through the Montreal scene some time back, this release feels like a full-circle moment.

The second episode of Kindisch Radio comes from Istanbul-based artist Cem Gemalmaz, who joins the series on the heels of his new single ‘Somebody’—a warm, deeply human track that blends organic grooves with intimate storytelling.

The journey flows from the percussive depth of Findling & Lihab’s ‘Stay Down’ and the dusty house swing of Boogie Vice & Deep Aztec’s ‘Get Down’, into the melodic warmth of Ryan Murgatroyd’s ‘Something Said’ and the atmospheric moods of HOVR, Pele & Nico Stojan, and Stavroz.

Cem closes the set with tracks from Remo, Alexey Union, and Adisyn—balancing introspection, groove and gentle uplift throughout. As with his own productions, this mix brings together subtle storytelling, organic percussion, and emotive flow, offering a deeply immersive Kindisch experience.
