Greece and Russia join forces in a new movement through the Balkans where Tash and Mango find a "Lost" musical world. Elemental basslines pulsate through the earth's magnetic fields as hypnotic rhythms guide and control lustrous textures. Cascading arpeggios rise and fall to build new sonic patterns and subtle melodic phrasing finds its place. Rising from the Baltic coast, Rauschhaus returns with ice cool melody and reimagined intrigue. Entwined motifs are Lost' within each other in smooth melancholy and haunting vocal refrain. Clubland rhythms find their mark through snare rolls and powerfully pitched drop in a new mesmerising interpretation.

Diverse musical backgrounds combine within cosmopolitan Buenos Aries where childhood's end brought shared synthesised dreams. Oliver and Tom find a new lost' memory that floats through a haze of shimmering pads, analogue lines and subtle pulsing waves. Motifs shine and chord progressions provide a new hope among familiar bassline presence. Meanwhile, a lost Roman settlement sits on the Iberian Peninsula where Kyotto defines a new vision across the Atlantic Ocean. Resonant bass force rumbles under heavy beat and raw energy. Light melodies float across the bay in perfect juxtaposition where familiar patterns echo within a new voyage of discovery and new vocal phrasing creates an understated shift in emphasis.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint opens the month of August by presenting the fourth installment of their ‘Re:Imagined' series. With the inaugural edition landing in February of 2020, these Various Artists EP showcases take a look back over the label's catalog, presenting new interpretations from some of the freshest talent in the underground. Not bound by genre or style, the first three installments in the series earned praise for their contemporary blend of organic, progressive and deep house sounds. An artist with a growing reputation built around a remarkable sound and a core set of musical beliefs, amháin finds himself at the vanguard of underground progressive house. An accomplished DJ with performances across his adopted Australian homeland, the Irish-born artist has seen production work in tandem signed to the likes of Vapour Recordings, onedotsixtwo and Meanwhile. A pair of remixes for Erdi Irmak and Michael A have graced Proton Music while a remix for Loveclub, Mariner + Domingo was a notable Particles highlight in May 2021. Now with the sublime, "Evaporate", a fizzing percussive groove and deep kick combine with ethereal pads and delay-infused synth motifs to create a shimmering sonic collage. Gradually introducing a swathe of complementary elements, a rasping bass note and razor-edged synth lead shine at the breakdown before the detailed groove and melodic flow combine one more in the latter stages.

Mike Rish is another rising Southern Hemisphere star. Responsible for a string of impressive release including a 2021 full-length album on UGENIUS, the Melbourne artist has found further success on GMJ and Matter's Meanwhile, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Guy J's Lost and Found. Guided by a principle of selective musical output, Particles is honoured to welcome Mike Rish with a superb reworking of "Evaporate". Familiar tropes from the original reveal themselves in innovative sonic patterns as Rish builds his powerful remix founded upon new rolling groove and syncopated bass pattern. Club-friendly synth motifs come to the fore in cadenced phrasing before a spine-tingling arpeggio opens up at the breakdown to provide a hands-in-the-air moment, before dropping back into the mesmerising combination of rhythmic and melodic synchronicity.

Born in Hungary but firmly settled in his adopted Copenhagen home, GÆO is a fixture across the clubs of the Danish capital. A graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the Hungarian is as comfortable behind the decks as he is in the studio with a kaleidoscope of "driving beats, dreamy atmospheres and moving melodies". As such, work for Embliss Records, Stellar Limited and the Visceral compilation series has seen GÆO grow in stature with an increasing body of work since late 2020. Now making his Particles debut, a deep kick and ticking shaker pattern provide the backdrop for pads from "Evaporate" to appear while a blend of new melodies from the GÆO production studio ripple in rotating patterns across the 7-minute piece. Gradually building in energy through an elegantly used open filter, the vocal refrain from the original appears, to connect the listener to amháin's work.

'Presenting their second release of the year, Ruben Karapetyan’s RKP imprint welcomes Nacres to the label for his debut single. With a career that spans three decades, Turkish artist Nacres was a fixture of his country’s nightlife for many years, DJing at some of Istanbul’s trendiest venues, most notably Andromeda, Club 2019 (Twenty) and Taxim Night Park. A lengthy hiatus from the industry would see Nacres return in 2018 when his career as a producer would officially begin. On the strength of early tracks 'Nibiru' and 'Grand Jete', the Turkish artist established himself amongst the progressive house community and inturn landed releases via Bonzai Records, Droid9 and his own Soundeluxe Records imprint. Now, adding RKP to his resume, Nacres debuts on the label with ‘Naturalize’, alongside remixes from Kyotto and Mayro. 

Getting the release underway and sitting as one of Nacre’s most engaging productions to date is the original mix. Warm beats and a full, rolling groove set the foundation for a narrative of phasing percussion and tranquil arps. Pushing a deep meditative mood into the break; Nacres marries wispy effects with rising modulation across the mood lifting interlude, building anticipation with each successive pass, as arpeggiated fragments open up, before eventually giving way to a thumping drop and hypnotic finale.

Making his label debut with the first interpretation of ‘Naturalize’ is Kyotto. First emerging in 2017, Sri Lankan artist Kyotto was quickly tipped as one of his country’s most promising progressive house artists. Releases via JEE Productions, Mango Alley, Sound Avenue and his own CRFT Music imprint have been recent discography highlights, while Hernan Cattaneo continues to be steadfast with support. Continuing to rise out of his country’s electronic landscape, Kyotto now debuts on RKP with a gorgeous take on ‘Naturalize’. Smooth and groovy across the first movement, Kyotto continues his stylized ways with buoyant percussive arrangements and emotive chord changes creating a smooth path into the main break. Sitting comfortably in a poignant yet thought provoking space, Kyotto’s emotive melodies rise out of calming atmospheres as the interlude evolves, adding perfectly to its meditative nature, before eventually breaking off into a heartwarming drop and charming conclusion.

Providing the second and final interpretation of ‘Naturalize’ is Mayro who also makes his label debut. Based in Argentina, Pablo Maneiro aka Mayro has been producing a blend of progressive, deep and melodic house for the better part of a decade. World class DJs Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Miss Monique and Nick Warren have all taken a liking to his sound, which has found a home on Mango Alley, Siona Records, WARPP and his own Traful imprint. Continuing on an upwards tradegory as we enter the year’s second half, Mayro adds RKP to resume with a powerful rendition of ‘Naturalize’. Taking inspiration from the original, Mayro flexes his free-thinking muscles and crafts a version that lands comfortably between the surreal and exotic. Neatly manicured percussion and a thunderous, hip-swinging groove set the course for snatches of trippy effects, which ultimately highlight the first act. Coming to full fruition across the main break, tension rises as the primary theme emerges, while never letting go of its tranquil vibration, pushing onwards to a glowing final act.'

Out of golden summer tones and autumnal harvest, Dmitry Molosh emerges through the "Orchard". From the broad banks of the Mukhavets River, beautiful sonic timbres create a rich sonic hue that glitters in sparkling sunlit patterns. A smooth bassline cadence fills the musical canvas as wonderful shards reveal themselves in sultry percussive rhythms and an exalted air of triumph oozes from every bar.

Dutch mastery from Kasper Koman reveals a new path within the familiar patterns of the "Orchard". A perfectly weighted backdrop provides the foundation for new melodies to emerge from the rhythmic bed. A spine-tingling bass progression reveals a crisp and crunchy new flavour. The golden age of the underground lost and found within an industry icon. Kharkhiv and Karlsruhe joined together by a single thread finds musical cross-pollination via Tantum and Arude. Grown out of storming bassline groove, smooth melodies blossom as delayed arpeggios echo through the trees.

A returning legend, Rauschhaus once again showcases a powerful performance with gentle touch and skill.
