“Youk.pe, also known as Yousef Ruiz (PE-IT), is a producer and DJ affiliated with villa_bass Crew (PE) and @donavalentinatapes Records (IT). His musical project, part of the trio You, Youk & Yousei, explores various electronic music styles. Youk aims to captivate audiences with Footwork, Juke, and Jersey Club, drawing inspiration from nostalgia for his home country, reflecting cherished childhood memories and Peruvian culture. Recent releases adorn distinguished Italian labels like antistandardrecs, donavalentinatapes, traaampaaa records, and mosoblelectro records. In Peru, he shares music through kriolla.pe and matracanet. A collaboration with the latter contributed to a compilation for the North American label thefootworkjungle.”

The last set of the party comes from You - just You, short for Yousef - Villa Bass’s resident specialist of drum and bass and other frenetic styles. @youdnb

It’s more of a megamix in that its stitched together from a few pieces - he played for over an hour but we only had parts on the recording (I took the liberties of editing it together).

Very happy we got something of his set to share so you can hear the force that is You. It captures a great feeling at the end of the night when we were all dancing in the breeze of the bass of the BQestias.
